Pay conversation but this pretty much sums it up. Joe Hoops also referring to THT-Finke in his tweet I posted earlier. (And throwing some shade at Mike Irvin for repeatedly saying Pearson is the 2nd best player in the class this year.)

Could not agree more. ILL is not paying these guys the kind of $ they're getting to see them reel in kids that Parham and Ford were able to land.
I would pour myself another glass. Swap out Stewart for Finke, and you might be on to something.
Looking at 2018, it looks like MD could be putting together a monster class. Already have commitments from Jalen Smith (247 comp 34) & Aaron Wiggins (#43), lead for De Sousa (#26), and lots of other interest from top 50 players listed.

Don't think I would consider this a success without De Sousa.
Then you sir are crazy. Any class containing Ayo is a success. Him plus two bigger guys is a very good success.

CB's were almost split between MD & Duke, so I left him in the other sub 50 category , but at #9 & 50-40 CB favorite for MD he is worth a mention.

I don't think you're crazy. For one thing, Ayo is no given and Finke and Pearson would be -uh, underwhelming I'd say.

Given the Ayo-Pearson-Irvins dynamic, I'd be very surprised if we don't end up with both or neither. If Ayo commits, I think Pearson will be right behind him. Highly doubt we take a Pearson commitment before Ayo.

Ayo would get anyone excited, Conditt/Castleton/Sow are all I expect out of the 5 and would be underwhelming but expected based on what we have to work with. The 3 is where someone like Finke would be underwhelming especially if combined with Pearson.

#24 on the Iowa team is Joey Hauser, a top 50 kid from Stevens Point who is choosing soon. From looking at him on the CB Marquette is leading Wisconsin and hopefully it'll stay that way. He looks like a load.
