That may be true, but he's not saying anything that's not already being reported by others.Sometimes I don't get Tate.
No reason to say any of that until after tomorrow

That's a great sign! Nick is preaching loyalty, and Ayo is retweeting it, saying he's loyal and all in. I think this means THT is likely a future Illini and Ayo ain't goin' anywhere. Nice! :thumb:
Oh, and #5/19 is a birthday reference, I've heard. His dad's maybe?

This is just one more bit of proof to reinforce why I hate the media.
This story just won't go away regardless how many times it is refuted.

At the age of 16, THT's growth plate should be wide open to grow to be a true 4 in BU's system
If THT committing was going to cause Ayo to leave the staff would not be recruiting him. Pretty simple.

Is it "the media" who won't let this story die, or people like us on message boards like these, and twitter, etc?
Wait, do you have information that only ONE plate is open!? That figures. So Illini. We mightly finally get another star from Simeon and it turns out he'll be totally lopsided, with one leg 4 inches longer than the other! :tsk: I hope it's his right leg, so then it will at least be easier to go left...
Trump should get the blueprint from Coach Underwood because he is about to build a wall around this state recruiting wise. I have waited for this a long time and thought it impossible. Connections and relationships are set up for the next 3 years on some big fish in the state of Illinois.

Whoa wait.....if he's got one leg shorter than the other then he should be able to run circles around his opponent
Let's maybe let more than one year go by before declaring the state's top talent to be walled off. When the next Jabari Parker and Jahlil Okafor pair both pick Illinois over Duke, I'll maybe entertain that line of discussion.
We're still a long, long way from being nationally recognized and being able to consistently pull recruits from Calif, AZ, Texas, FL and NY. To the best of my knowledge, that's never happened at UofI. As with Lou (1980's) and Bill Self (2000's), it all starts with Chicago and the state of Illinois.I agree we've been able to compete for selected top 50 recruits like Ayo, Tilmon, Black, JCL. In the future, though, I'm hoping our program will have more national recognition and some of the recruiting barriers that have existed for the last decade will disappear, giving us better access to more highly-ranked players. 2017 is somewhat of a baseline and we've already seen BU go national. I expect that to continue with better results.
There isn't a Parker or Okafor type of talent but there is talent that can put Illinois back in the national spotlite in a big way. This staff is already positioned to have a great shot to land them. You go ahead and keep your foot on that break but this staff doesn't share your opinion.
