Since it's a moot point until the 2020s anyway, let's just get Okoro and Liddell in 19, Miller and Steward in 20 and see where we are then. If that happens, things then should pretty much take care of themselves.

I can agree to that. Hard to imagine after last Feb we could even be having a debate regarding these players and really feel it could happen. I think we are all restless and ready to be back among the top of the Big10 and March Madness talk.
Gonna be even longer if THT commits......it appears. Hopefully when that happens everyone comes out and is in agreement that all is ok.

I find it very hard to believe that this conversation hasn't been brought up between the staff and THT/Ayo. I'm guessing they've been smoothing this thing out for weeks, if not months.

I'm guessing you're right too. We've just been burned so many times, think we're all a little punchy....
A lot of good players will still leave the state, no matter how good we are. There will be playing time problems, recruits will want the keys that we won't be able to give at times, blue bloods will still come in and steal players, and some guys just simply want to get away from home. This state has so much talent that it will never be locked down.
Are Werner and Piper and the channel 3 sports guys traveling to follow this announcement. They usually make these trips if they are positive the pick will be in favor of the illini.
From what has already been posted here, yes to all.
Its water under the bridge now. This staff got their groove back this week.
