Dorsey did it under a different OC tho
Given our WR situation I think Smith would find a way to use anyone that can catch the ball, regardless of position.

The smoke here is very very real so the "over hype" is certainly justified.Just wanted to dust off this old tweet to get us all overly hyped
Which in my eyes makes it about 100x more impressive.Dorsey did it under a different OC tho
Arizona media reporting Khalil Tate is going to transfer.... http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/137121/khalil-tate
Kind of looks orange and blue!

You'd feel like you did this season when you had to compete to get a shot at the starting job. When you accept a D1 scholarship, you know that PT is not guaranteed and that competition is best for the team. May the best man win, and may the next best man do everything he can to help the team in the meantime (scout team, working with second string, etc.) and do everything he can to be ready when called on. If you don't see that and you're not ready for that, then you're going to have a rough time as a football player. If I was MJ Rivers, not sure how I would feel about this...

Ranking the rumored transfers is likelihood of transferring to Illinois (based on only what I've read on this forum):
1. Jeff Thomas
2. Khalil Tate
3. Unknown Big 12 WR
4. Luke Ford (just don't see this happening)
Thomas, Tate, Ford, Beason, Wilson. These are the types of players I thought Lovie would bring in when he was first hired and had his staff with NFL experience.Ranking the rumored transfers is likelihood of transferring to Illinois (based on only what I've read on this forum):

Thanks. Wasn’t sure if it was some mystery transfer. It is someone who had sent me an email and to whom I had just replied, duh. Yes, I meant Williams. Thanks for catching that.
Would like to think we have a shot with Tate because of OC connection. Don’t see Ford coming. Thomas was a handful at ESL, and I don’t mean that in a good way. Even if he does transfer to the Illini, I think it is a long shot he actually plays a down. Hope I am wrong.
I have Beason slotted in as the PR next year, but I'm sure Thomas would also work. Good problems to have. That documentary, 89 Blocks, that focused heavily on Jeff's Senior season at ESL was eye opening and not in a good way. There's a poster that frequents here named Title who has connections to ESL and I'm curious to know what he thinks about this. The documentary also focused on Estes and how Missouri was trying to get Thomas/Estes in a package deal. Every time that Estes visited they'd ask about Jeff but I didn't get the feeling that Jeff liked Missouri. Jeff at least visited us unofficially two years ago.
Regardless of the baggage, you take him. Even beyond his ability as a WR, he could be our PR as well. How nice would it be to have a guy back there who isn't running away from the ball out of fear and has the potential to take the ball to the house every time he touches the ball? He'd be a total game changer. He could turn out to be another Green-Beckham but we have to take a chance on him.
Don't get me started on Tate. Arizona was third in the country in rushing yards in 2017. A backfield with Tate, Corbin and a healthy Epstein would be deadly. Just add some guys who can catch the freaking ball to keep defenses honest and this could be one of the top rushing teams in the country with this OL.
Anyone under 40 won't get that referenceDave
