I would like someone to ask George why he thinks the "collaborative" process the Bears' organization uses to make decisions has any merit considering the lack of success on the field over the past 30 years.

As a fan, I feel like we are going to be in NFL Hell (similar to the Bulls) as long as the McCaskey Family owns this team. Ted Phillips is just like (Gar/Pax) he has no idea what he is doing! Until the bears get someone who knows what a good GM looks like, we are going to continue to be a poor to mediocre franchise.
Nothing , I repeat NOTHING , will ever change until the team is sold . we have become the Lions . we will never be better than the Packers the way things are .
if we ever get lucky and the Packers & Vikings are both down , we will get smoked in the playoffs by one of 6-7 other NFC teams

You don't fire a coach who hasn't had a losing season in 3 seasons and has taken the team to the playoffs 2 of those seasons.

Now Pace on the other hand...
If the Bears were going to fire Nagy, it would have happened already. With all the teams who have made recent changes and a few left to fill, the Bears would not have a great list to chose from. I believe Nagy will be back. But the bigger issue is on the D.

Ummm....yeah they just had a press conference last week and said both Nagy and Pace will continue. And I don’t think the biggest issues are on defense.

With it looking like he's set to retire, where would you all rank Brees among the best QBs you've ever seen?
For a guy who is not a special athlete, he had an amazing career. If he had a better team around him I believe he would easily have a couple more rings. I'd say top 5 all time partly due to his longevity. There are some great names in the top 10 that could all be argued for the top 5. Sadly for me, Tom Brady will likely always be number 1.

The thing I'll always remember about that Saints Super Bowl win (aside from the fact that the winning coach went to Eastern) is that the three key players for the Saints in that game all went to B1G schools. Brees went to Purdue. The Saints took the lead in the 2nd half on a run by Pierre Thomas (and we all know where he went). And the game sealing pick six was scored by Tracy Porter, who went to Indiana.

A harder question than the Brees one... Phillip Rivers, Hall of Famer?
5th all time in passing yards, tds, and completions. This age of QB is so vastly different it's hard to say who isn't deserving. I'm a big believer that most HOFs are naturally become hall of very good. In 25 years, where will he be? You can't think that way when deciding who makes it or not, so you look at the era he played in. Hard to deny longevity and productivity. Also believe he was one of the most underrated QBs of his generation. Personally, if you're putting Big Ben in, you're putting Rivers in as well. No denying Ben's had a more illustrious career, but statistically, they are very similar.

The Bears interviews Mike Singletary for their DC opening.

This hire would appeal would appeal to the meatball nostalgia crowd, but it would be as uninspiring as they come. Pretty sure he went like 1-21 for the HS team he coached.

Absolutely but the thing people have to remember is that Singletary has never been a DC for an NFL team. Before he was the interim and then head coach for the Niners, he was the assistant head coach/linebackers coach for the team.

My money is on either D-line coach Jay Rodgers (or it was til I just saw he was hired by the Chargers) or James Betcher (former DC with the Cardinals and Giants). I've also seen Wade Phillips discussed as a possibility.

Wade Phillips in an interesting name. Former HC, now, more of a father figure for Nagy? Maybe, someone who he can learn from?

Sean Desai name new DC for the Bears. Promoted from secondary. I know nothing, other than the writer in the article I saw thinks that he may be the first NFL coordinator of Indian decent.

Stafford just told the Lions he wants a fresh start! Can we put together a package for him? Would really fit our window.

We need more than a QB. Unless Det is willing to make QB for QB swap and something I would be intrigued.

It would be a great start, also how nice is to not have a kicker problem. OL and WR, gotta sign Robinson, are needed. Can we get a do-over on the Quinn deal?

Brady now 10-4 in conference championship games.

Tampa becomes first team to play Super Bowl in their home stadium. Only 3rd time in Super Bowl history where game will be played in home market of one of the participants. Super Bowl XIV (Steelers-Rams) at the Rose Bowl. Super Bowl XIX (Dolphins-Niners) at Stanford Stadium.

That last series (as well as another series where they got 1st and goal) by Rodgers and the Packers offense was poor. It felt like they were forcing the plays unnecessarily.

Also, as great as Rodgers is, to be 1-4 in Conference Championship Games isn't a good look.

It goes back further than that. The Packers have shockingly little to show for 29 straight years of HoF QB play.

Brady also has 10 Super Bowls, Bears 2
