If he gets a buzz-cut he's a lock to be signed by Wisconsin.

Um. Burnett and Nimari are the same guy
Same number of visits and admission decisions, but double the recruits!
But he can play 2 positions.Um. Burnett and Nimari are the same guy
That very first clip has a pretty solid tackleDeiman Reyes? Definitely raw.
Definitely would have been a double technical and ejection in the Indiana game. Not even a whistle in this oneThat very first clip has a pretty solid tackle
Patience "grasshopper"...good things come for those who wait.....we are all in this togetherWho do we realistically have a chance at landing right now?
I think we have so much development to show recruits, but I am getting uneasy that we haven’t gotten anyone in quite some time.
Goode for 3!!!!!!!! How about them future Illini!!!
This was #1 on Sportscenter plays of the day. They even mentioned he’s an Illinois commit

I disagree with one point: developing players and winning go hand in hand. Not an either/or proposition, especially in college when the players come in at 18 or 19 years old. The best coaches in my estimation have been those that made their guys/gals better people as well as better players. I got in a twitter battle with John Feinstein, of all people, regarding Bobby Knight (Feinstein literally wrote the book on Knight). He took offense when I questioned whether you can really consider Knight to be a "great coach" when his track record consisted of too many players that he not only didn't make better, but actually destroyed their love of the game. Very few of Knight's players were successful pro's. Isiah Thomas is the exception, and based on most reports is an a-hole himself. With winning, the ends doesn't justify the means. Using the example of Lou Henson who was very strict and tough on his players, yet every one of them, to a man, left Illinois loving the man because he was interested in them as a person. And Lou despised Bobby Knight - calling him the "classic bully". I think Brad Underwood has a healthy dose of Lou Henson in him.Huh? Coaching is about wins and losses, not how many players you can develop. At some point, these guys will have to move on... At some point. He has a really good team. Why on Earth wouldn't he want them to move on before they have to? It isn't as though there are always a bunch of 5 stars lined up to go to Madison. The Wisconsin formula is built on veteran players.
Seemed like there was quite a long time when Duke players did not do well in the NBA. Hasn’t been true recently. Guess it depends on definition of great coach. Is it winning at the institution? Is it preparing for an NBA career? Is it developing character in their players? There are coaches that excel at different things.I disagree with one point: developing players and winning go hand in hand. Goode has so much more of an outside game than Leron Black did. He's a big wing, not a stretch 4 unless it is small ball. From what I've seen in the highlight videos, he looks a lot like Joe Wieskamp.Notice Goode is #94 on 247’s ratings and wondering if he is going to be a Leron Black that can handle the ball? Black was an amazing good shooter his last year and always a good rebounder (when he wasn’t in foul trouble). With Goode, Hawk, Grandy, BBV, and Giorgi we have a lot of options for the 3-5 and can be a completely different look than this year with Kofi. Three of those guys with Ace and Belo could still be good defensively and matchup problems with other teams ala OSU or Baylor. Losing two All-Americans won’t be easy but the talent remaining is not chopped liver.
There have been really good college players who's talents didn't translate to the NBA and so-so college players who've found success in the NBA. Players develop at different rates for a variety of reasons unrelated to coaching, IMO.Seemed like there was quite a long time when Duke players did not do well in the NBA. Hasn’t been true recently. Sorry, it was autocorrect. I actually typed "more athletic Larry Bird"

Just watched some Burnett senior year highlights. If we could get him would definitely make up for missing on Nesbit and Jones, although I think I would slightly prefer either to Burnett. Both seem a little longer and bouncier IMO, which are two areas where I think we are lacking. That said...www.illinoisloyalty.com
Totally agree about Coach Lou and Coach Underwood. Been thinking about this for sometime, and esp with Coach Underwood's post game press conference after the Wisconsin game.I disagree with one point: developing players and winning go hand in hand. ?? Black shot .548 from three his last year with 31 shots and he shot .564 overall. Most shots 10-12 ft range. I’ll take that from a wing any day. Believe Goode much better handles like Hawk and (who BU says future 3). Playing guys like this together at the 3 and 4 give opponents real match up problems. Kind of small ball with big guys.Goode has so much more of an outside game than Leron Black did. He's a big wing, not a stretch 4 unless it is small ball.
