I'm not happy about it either. He better not cost a first round pick, if we do get him .That does not excite me. I don’t know how you could fit his contract under the cap anyway.

Bears have like the 20th pick, so not too bad of a deal. Trubs ain't the answer and Watson ain't leaving Houston for what they're asking. Cohen's coming off a serious injury and Foles returns to Philly. Bears can find OL's in other rds. I say do it.I'm not happy about it either. He better not cost a first round pick, if we do get him .
It was reported by one of the Philly insiders, I believe.

Foles, no loss, losing Cohen bad... unless choosing between keeping Cordalle Patterson sp/ or not. In other words, keeping Patterson makes losing Cohen fathomable to me especially with Mooney filling speed/slot. Wentz and a 2nd or 3rd round OT pick while keeping Robinson would be an offense upgrade. It seems Bears just kick the can on which offensive positions they ignore to develop, last 5 years or so offensive line, seems now WR might be the group they ignore...hope not.
If this deal goes down, Wentz should tell the Bears he won't sign unless they re-sign A-Rob.Foles, no loss, losing Cohen bad... unless choosing between keeping Cordalle Patterson sp/ or not. I guess I’ll go with the theory that the Bears were just going to waste that draft pick anyway, so why not? Unless they have a greater plan we don’t know about, this seems like a “Well at least we did something” move.
Consider three playoff appearances in the past 11 seasons with one win, and three playoff wins over the past 26 seasons, they have been mismanaged for a long time.this is the type of crappy trades / signings you get from a GM/Coach who both know they are on the hot seat and will do anything they can to see that they win 8 games next season .
they’ve seen the schedule - they know it’s tough and they could not care less what & how anything they do impacts the team beyond the next 11 months .
stick with Nick . sign a competent backup and live with it . Nick was good enough 9 months ago to trade for him .
I think it’s a dumb trade & waste of a 1st rd pick . The Bears are quickly becoming a terribly mismanaged organization . on par with Houston & Detroit & the Jets
i’ve said it for a long time , NOTHING will change with the Bears until the McCaskeys sell . It was thought for a long time that once the matriarch passed , the kids would have to sell to pay the estate taxes , but I doubt that is the case , really .Consider three playoff appearances in the past 11 seasons with one win, and three playoff wins over the past 26 seasons, they have been mismanaged for a long time.
There are rumors that Seattle might be interested in trading Wilson. With this trade, the Rams won't have a first round pick again until 2024 at the earliest. Their first round pick this year went to Jacksonville in the Jalen Ramsey trade. They haven't had a first round pick since they picked Goff #1 overall in 2016.
If nothing else for the Rams, their vertical passing game should be a lot better. And that NFC West will have some quality QB play with Wilson, Kyler, Stafford, and Garoppolo.

That is out there. I am not saying it will happen but the rumor is out thereThere's virtually no chance that happens.

Ownership of an NFL franchise is essentially a license to print money. Can’t believe they will ever be sold. I’ve always drawn a parallel between the Bears and Illini athletics. Why have the Bears been unsuccessful? Bad ownership. Why has Illinois football and basketball been so bad? Bad athletic department. Whitman appears to have changed that.i’ve said it for a long time , NOTHING will change with the Bears until the McCaskeys sell . might things change when she does pass ? maybe , but I’m not counting on it . As fans , I think we are stuck with a crappy ownership and crappy management for a LONG TIME.
Well, I got the 31 right.35-31 KC
