Trent isn't coming back although he may not be done in college.

Oh great. So either he wants to play somewhere close to home, or the staff wants to move forward with the group here and incoming recruits?

I suppose this means Trent will drop 30 on us in next years second round tourney game. Because Sister Mary Jean. And God. Apparently.

Also......just a side note. We will have those three guards that have been mentioned with the two freshman and Burnett as well. But just wanted to say this-Austin Hutcherson.....remember that name. He is going to be a huge surprise to a lot of people next year.

Belo, Burnett, and Miller would all start without issue, don’t you think?
I think those three would be dynamite. The only issue is tyty & whether he commits before April 9 & there are still alot on Hutcherson supporters. I have to remember who I was talking to & as hard as it is to believe there are people who believe Hutcherson would have started on the team THIS YEAR

Hold up, three guards aside from Belo/Miller/Burnett? So like TyTy + Podz + ______? That would be freakin incredible.

My two bits... best case in my book would be Kofi coming back for one more season to pair up with Curbelo. We have ample depth at guard, and I'm excited to see what Curbelo can achieve when Brad tosses him the keys to the Ferrari. I imagine it will look like the two parking lot attendants in Ferris Bueller... Adam Miller looks primed to fill the Trent Frazier role. Hutcherson and Melendez could both be new scoring options. Goode an instant offense guy off the bench...

That said, the sting of losing was greater this year knowing what coulda shoulda mighta been.

I think with the experience our young guys now have of the tourney we might be better next year. I said in a different thread that Ace and Belo will be the leaders in keeping up the standard. Goode brings elite shooting and Hawkins will hopefully make the jump to the player we hope we would be.

If Kofi comes back we should be top 4 in the big ten, if he doesn't then top 6-7 is probably where we will fall.

Not trying to discredit anyone here, but Trent transferring to another school makes 0 sense. If anything, I see him leaving to get paid. Not trying to claim to be an insider, but I'm speaking as someone who's hung out with him several times. I don't see it. If it happens, I'll eat crow, but someone saying this the same day we lost just seems even more far-fetched to me.

What I hope for this off-season is that Belo learns to not try to drive through 3 defenders in the middle of the lane. When he is trying to do it there has to be an open man somewhere. The same with Kofi. He will learn to be quicker against a good defeneder. I know it is all a learning process. He will also get stronger and he has to shoot a 1000 shots a day. Looking forward seeing him lead the team next year. Thanks for a great and fun season.
