Looks like podZ watch may conclude this week

"St. John’s NW SG Brandin Podziemski reportedly set to make his decision this week.

Podziemski, a 6'5" SG from Delafield, Wisconsin, is ranked as a 4-star prospect (247 Sports).

He has been recruited by 15 schools, and is down to his Top Five, with Miami in the mix. #CanesH"

I've had extreme disdain for miami ever since that blown call in 2013 😠

Do we know if he has visited any other schools in his top 5 that have just been kind of under the radar?

Just watched some videos on Podz. The difference in his body from his junior year mixtape to the most recent one is huge. If he comes here fletch will turn the kid into a gladiator!

Fletch gonna have fun with the new guys.
Yet, I look at some of the most athletic guards in the country and they don't "bulk" up. They stay light and fly around, maybe if we don't add mass, we can flop better like other schools in B10 and get more calls.

Will be interesting to see what effect this new Overtime Elite (story) has on the college basketball landscape (not to mention G League Ignite's continued growth). The NCAA has dragged their feet for so long on NIL that they've created an opening for other ventures to supplant their market dominance. Seems like it won't be very long before getting a guy in the 25-50 ranking is the same, relatively speaking, as it used to be getting a guy in the 1-25 ranking.

Just watched a quick highlight video of his and man, he gets his shot off quick! I found it interesting that the highlights showed a plethora of dunks, but maybe his shooting is already well known so trying to show-off a different part of his game. But he seems very similar to an Ayo mold, but with a better outside shot. Seems like he is athletic enough, finishes around the basket, plays a bit under the rim like Ayo, gets to his spots and lets it fly! I could see him come in and play a very similar role as Ayo eventually. I hope we hear good news this week with him!

I'm not sure how many other schools he and his family have unofficially visited. Probably COVID limits work in our favor, since UIUC is a relatively short drive. Hopefully, that is a big plus for family as well, assuming they want to see him play in person regularly. Experience also suggests being the last school visited is best.

Recruiting, I thought, was *only* fluid.

Now I find that a solid, signed player can be considered for liquification too.

Man, people can be so paranoid. This article references stuff Goode's dad said when he SIGNED. So IU's recent hire has no bearing on these comments in any way or form. I don't know how you disregard everything he said about "loyalty" and "commitment" and hone in on the word "adversity"

Edit: The fact that you think IU's head coach is wasting his time trying to steal a signed player when the transfer portal is so rich is wild.

To be fair, many on the board still suffer from PTSD thanks to Kelvin Sampson...

Is a Storr reclass to ’21 a possibility? He looks like he could contribute next season. Doubt he would if Damonte and Trent return, but the more I see his highlights and build the more I like. If he doesn’t reclass, I think his ranking takes off. He’s good.

I think it would be in his best interest to reclass even if Trent and Damonte return. You get a full year of college practices under your belt and you get to learn the ways from veterans.
