I agree with @Oldskoolkoach here. It's polite to call people by the name they choose. It's like people who want to be called Robert but their annoying coworker keeps calling them Bob. Get what I'm saying, tex?
Perhaps if chester/chet/c-dawg were participating on this board, ok. If oldskoolcoach happens to be him under that pseudonym, and he comes forward, I'll hop on board with the logic.

I am not at all suggesting it is a possibility, but someone like Adrian Griffin would not only blow my mind, but also be kinda funny. ;)
You are kind of joking and playing the irony here, but his ex-wife had some pretty serious allegations against him as a husband and father last year I think. Hope it wasn't true, but doubt that'd be someone we'd want to bring in.

LOL I agree. If not, can we start using full names for all recruits, opposing players, coaches, with proper spelling?

The more I think about this, the NBA route may be a good idea. Look at recent successful recruiting at other schools - Memphis with Hardaway, Michigan with Howard, now IU has Woodson, even Nebraska has a top 20 class coming in with Hoiberg. Have we perhaps been losing recruits to programs that could sell the NBA pathway better than we could?
Didn’t translate to football with the Lovie hire, but maybe bball is different?

I preface this by saying it is 100% a JOKE - so as not to be drawn/quartered/disemboweled, but what if IDKWTI happened to be on the list :ROFLMAO:. Could you even imagine the first coaches meeting? Fan fiction at it's finest.

Wonder if we’ll go back to the old Whitman playbook....lock down Chicago by hiring an out of work former pro coach from the Chicago team....

My money is on Jim Boylen, Doug Collins, or Phil Jackson

Or calling BU by his given name, Bradley.

Bradley Cole Underwood (born December 14, 1963) is the current head coach for the Illinois men's basketball team.
