As we've seen this morning.....proper .gif'ing requires accurate timing and cleverness. Just like any good comedy.

Responding to every comment with a .gif, or flooding the thread with .gif's (unless there is a truly huge event worthy of .gif bombing ie: "It's Happening! and Insider "boom") weakens the .gif's impact on the viewers.

Regardless of these guidelines, a random .gif or two is way better than "Where I Went To High School", or some angry boomer telling us he likes his basketball players to all have flat top haircuts and no tattoos. Exciting.

Yes. He participated in a zoom call with a recruit. He obviously had taken the job. Then he went home and wife and kids said no.
I have been saying this for years. Many don't understand how much of an impact that a wife has on accepting a new job in athletics.

This is pretty embarrassing if true. Not that the family had veto power, but that we would have included him in a recruiting call before anything was actually finalized.

I'd be curious to know the identity of the recruit and where they ultimately end up instead.

It's more embarrassing for him that he had made a decision and had to go back and say he didn't have permission. Either consult with you family before saying yes or tell them you are sorry but you have already decided.

Just because it's more embarrassing for him doesn't make it any less embarrassing for our program.
