Not seeing the logic behind your reasoning at all.
The staff would have absolutely taken both players no questions asked. Unless there is some “shocking news” coming regarding a different player, this wasn’t a situation where the staff is putting all their chips in on Kofi and letting off Obanor.

3 blue bloods in one region of the bracket, doubt the NCAA gods will allow that. That being said, would be very happy about this outcome for the season, a 7th seed in the Chicago region. In an incredibly high turnover year to still be in the top 25-28 would be great.
Interesting. The buzz seemed focused on Melendez and Podz contributing right away, but I always wondered if Goode's shooting and size would help him see the floor early.

I definitely was thinking the same. Guys that can handle the physicality on defense and shoot 3s probably make coaches more comfortable giving early playing time to.
