Which was in the second part of my whole point. These kids can get paid now without having to deal with school. How many of these kids do you really think school is a priority for?Sure they get a six figure salary for one year to play in the league. To the point several people have brought up, most people don't care about and have no plans to watch these games. So while it worked out for someone like Jonathan Kuminga does anyone really think he couldn't have made just as much at a school like UK now that NIL is a thing. I personally think the potential earnings from NIL at a college more than compensate for the salary in these leagues. The fanbases for major college basketball schools is huge and will drive sales of gear as well as boost social media following which will be monetized.
The only real reason to go to these league is because the person just hates the idea of school to the point that they won't even tolerate the appearance of getting an education.
