All Epp's has done this Spring and Summer is tear it up.

Don't get me wrong, I trust our staff. And Rivals had him at #68 in June so they clearly saw something in him back then. I'd honestly be more concerned if it were a sustained downward trend, which it isn't. Just wondering if anyone has any insight. Did he have a few bad performances or something? Injury concerns?
Because he pledged to Illini.

On Rivals he also moved up in the PG rankings though too. Seems odd to me. He is also ranked higher than Dug McDaniel in the PG but 30 spots lower in the overall. Looking at his ranking history he seems to drop around September. He has been as high as 47 and as low as 106 all in 1 year.
Maybe Rivals is adopting a new outlook on basketball? They think the PG position is about to be obsolete/worthless?

The ironic thing is that you mentioned injury concerns, and funnily enough Harris was hurt a majority of the summer and his ranking remained nearly unchanged. It's just a joke lol (not that I'm insulting Harris, just his lack of change relative to Epps who was great all summer)
Because Rivals is trying to unseat ESPN as the worst college basketball site out there.
Looks 247 has him as 58 in their composite rankings. So I would say that RIVALS ranking is a joke.
One rivals scout said he deserved a nice size bump up the rankings so this is pretty bizarre.
Fair enough. Looks like 247 updated their rankings two days ago and Epps moved up a few spots, so I'm good with this explanation.

Oweh also jumped into the top 80. Pretty sure rivals rankers as a whole are clueless. The number of players moving over 30 places (either up or down) is unreal. Hard to believe anyone played enough to justify THAT many radical jumps.

On Werner’s pod, Piper said we probably won’t even get a visit from Schutt. I know we had staff turnover but thought Brad had been on him since he was a frosh. Anyone know what happened there? Or is he such a lock to Duke he doesn’t want to waste anyone else’s time?

I have always thought that he simply wasn't ever very interested in us to begin with. For me, it was enough when he made it to Michigan State THREE times before ever getting to Champaign
