Done with HS for '022 probably but there will probably be 2 portal's.
I'm wondering how this can be projected with any accuracy with all the uncertainty over whether Kofi, Belo and Granderson will be coming back or not. If I'm remembering correctly, we're overcommitted by 1 so we'd need 3 people with remaining eligibility to leave to bring in 2 more, right?

I’m just here to point out how ridiculous that is (in a good way).
Crazy to me. When I was there playing basketball we didn’t have a single person sniffing DI. We would play the Proviso schools and get our butts kicked, then wait for revenge during baseball season in the spring or football in the fall.

True story, during the middle of an inning the left fielder for Proviso East took out a juice box from his back pocket and started to drink it. This was as the ball was in play in the outfield and multiple base runners rounding the bases. They were all just waiting for basketball season to start again.

to be a Hilltopper, is to be number 1! ;) I've been waiting a looooong time to say that about hoops.

What kind of “juice” was it?

BU keeps his streak of signing a top 50 recruit. Also not sure I agree with coach Frazier on that one. I get what he is saying but as a very competitive guy he knows that having your rating go up means something. It is kind of like being ranked in the AP. At the end of the day it doesn't really mean a ton in terms of how the season ends but coaches want their teams to be ranked for exposure.

You should try to see Glenbard West this year . . great team, unselfish basketball. They average 6'7" and play a 1-3-1 defense that is crazy in HS with that height. Are suppose to be playing Kenwood later in the year - that should be interesting.

@pruman91 I have waited 3 hours for your thoughts on staff being high and still nothing. ☹️ Are you feeling ok?
lol............I could answer , Yeah ,I feel ok , but I had to update my new debit card with all my recurring charges and had to go to the bank b/c 800# wasn't working to activate the new card , then this happened and that happened online at different websites...............so a 30-60 minute process has taken over 4 hours .........

Right now I'm feeling OK because I'M HIGH................................

It would be a miracle but if Kofi stayed for his senior year to work on his passing game, improve his perimeter defense and his medium range jumper we would be rocking.

I am impressed how his passing has improved and his free throw shooting has improved (back to 68% even with 0-4 start vs. Michigan).
Don't forget the NIL money his agent may be able to nail down for him.

I've now seen Rodgers listed as 6-4, 6-5, 6-6, and 6-7. Anybody have a take on this? Maybe someone who has watched him play in person?

Hearing BU's press conference comments today you could just hear and see the excitement he has for Dain Dainja. Compared him to Trevion Williams and said he is 6'9" 280lbs and can do the splits...impressed with his flexibility. Also said he is so skilled that you can run the offense through him. BU loves the idea of having a semester to work with Fletch and understand the program culture to hit the ground running in the Fall.

I saw him play in Decatur and he is all of 6'6"and possibly 6'7". He is a very good strong athlete whose best attributes are superior passing ability and strong handle for a guy his size and with a strong body. He is an active player but we saw almost no shooting and he really deferred on offense, like a pass-first PG, in the game we watched. He was the primary player who brought the ball up the floor and initiated the offense. He has the skills (handle/height/body) to be great at driving the ball but I echo concerns I have seen about shooting ability (albeit for lack of evidence mostly)

Thanks. That sounds like the descriptions we heard of Liddell when he was coming out of h.s. I think we'd all take a clone of him. I think at this point in time, being as old as I've become, I'll take JJ, James Brown and Boswell and call it a day:)

I don't think it's about recognizing that there's talent elsewhere, it was about getting it. Really annoying GIF, BTW.
My son, who lives in Kenosha and is a Badgers fan, told me Illinois leads the nation in left-handed Puerto Ricans. I reminded him Andre and Melendez are both right handed.

And Podz was #1 Wisky prep the prior year. Underwood and company have smashed our traditional recruiting model. And I flippin' love it!
Uh what? Are we forgetting that Patrick Baldwin Jr., a top 10 recruit and almost surely a top pick in next year's draft is from Wisconsin? Podz won Wisconsin Mr. Basketball but ended up #3 out of Wisconsin per 247, both in composite and 247's internal rankings
