Is PWO a thing in basketball? I thought basketball, unlike football, was either scholly or walk-on. If PWO is a thing for basketball, anyone know how that is different from a regular
We asked you to sit on the end of the bench instead of you asking us if you can sit on the end of the bench.

On the bright side, when you do get in the game, the crowd is 100% on your side and wants every ball to go to you.
Also, If MJ is your dad, you are PWO.

Sadraque Nganga would be nice, in all aspects except pronouncing his name

There aren't a lot of top 100 guys uncommitted.

If we get another 2022 then I'd suggest a thread for figuring out what the 2022-23 roster will look like complete with speculation on.

Will Kofi stay?
Will Hutch return?
Will Grandison return?
Who will transfer?
Who is getting so much NIL money that they can fund their own scholarship?

I was a preferred walk on for a D1 school, because they were on scholarship probation. But it was my only chance at D1 so I went there anyways knowing I was on the team but not on scholarship

Someone's committing today. We just don't know if it's to us.
Exactly. This isn't an Illinois beat reporter, this could be a commitment pretty much anywhere. Just because Chester liked it doesn't mean it's to us. He's liked the commitment posts of recruits who committed to other schools over us before! Who knows, but if we signed another '22 it would be pretty unexpected I think

I like it. He might be our next Brian Johnson (b10 champ). Hopefully not our next Rick Kirby (we ran out of pgs in 1976)

Glenbard West Class of 2022 guard Paxton Warden on Wednesday announced his commitment to Illinois as a preferred walk-on. The 6-foot-4 guard plays for top-ranked Glenbard West (20-0 so far this season), which features Gonzaga commit Braden Huff and Princeton commit Caden Pierce. As a junior, Warden averaged 10.1 points per game, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals. Warden held a scholarship offer from NAIA programs Saint Xavier and Governors State.

It would be a miracle but if Kofi stayed for his senior year to work on his passing game, improve his perimeter defense and his medium range jumper we would be rocking.

I am impressed how his passing has improved and his free throw shooting has improved (back to 68% even with 0-4 start vs. Michigan).
