I never cheer a player leaving, but it does seem he was more likely moving down the depth chart rather than up. Best of luck to him and hope he finds the right situation.Won’t notice the loss, let’s be honest. Hopefully a solid receiving piece or 2 from the portal inbound.
I’ll be interested in where he ends up. Will he move out of P5 or are there other P5 schools who will value him?
Isaiah Williams is going to HAVE to catch a lot of footballs.Isaiah Williams is going to catch a lot of footballs
Won't notice? IIRC that is a player who didn't count against the yearly scholly numbers while a transfer does?Won’t notice the loss, let’s be honest. Hopefully a solid receiving piece or 2 from the portal inbound.
Would like to see Pat Bryant emergeIsaiah Williams is going to HAVE to catch a lot of footballs.
Yeah, I'm not happy to hear this. I would have liked to see what he could do with a new OC and QB.Won't notice? IIRC that is a player who didn't count against the yearly scholly numbers while a transfer does?
and he's been a good player for us and our punt returner.
Can anyone shed any light on the statuses of Jafar Armstrong and Brian Hightower? They both show as juniors on last year's roster, so I assume they both have at least one year of eligibility remaining? Were they hurt or just couldn't show enough to get on the field? (Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere in the past and I just missed it.)Isaiah Williams is going to HAVE to catch a lot of footballs.
I believe Armstrong is in the transfer portal. Can anyone shed any light on the statuses of Jafar Armstrong and Brian Hightower? He would’ve counted against the scholly numbers. That was a one year exemption for 5th year players.Won't notice? IIRC that is a player who didn't count against the yearly scholly numbers while a transfer does?

Bit of a project imo, get weight down ~20lbs, seems like a great fit for a Bielema OL.Anyone have insight on Zylon Crisler, other than him being a very large human?
Would like to see Donny go to the MAC, and see what kind of numbers he puts up there. IMO he lacked explosiveness and dropped the ball too often to be effective on a “good” power 5 teamPerhaps 2021 not as much, but in prior seasons Navarro was our best receiver. Sorry to see him (and Epstein, my favorite RB) exit the program.
I’m not in the know, but I thought his inability to stay healthy was the reason for the redshirt once he’d missed the vast majority of the season. This also sounds familiar. Maybe the nagging injury was someone else?
I didn’t hear it directly, but Scott Beatty said Werner expects a couple high impact OL transfers still. Assume that means he’s hearing some things. I agree, if this kid can have a year with Tank first, he could be a stud.Bit of a project imo, get weight down ~20lbs, seems like a great fit for a Bielema OL.
Really good athlete. Played for one of the best teams in school history (maybe not saying much for some schools). Was a great receiver but I have no doubt he can play safety. I’m glad to see him commit to the Illini!!Commitment from a safety out of Moline
