That one stings a little. Might make sense for him to move on with Williams firmly entrenched in the slot.

Won't notice? IIRC that is a player who didn't count against the yearly scholly numbers while a transfer does?
and he's been a good player for us and our punt returner.
Yeah, I'm not happy to hear this. I would have liked to see what he could do with a new OC and QB.

Isaiah Williams is going to HAVE to catch a lot of footballs.
Can anyone shed any light on the statuses of Jafar Armstrong and Brian Hightower? They both show as juniors on last year's roster, so I assume they both have at least one year of eligibility remaining? Were they hurt or just couldn't show enough to get on the field? (Apologies if this has been discussed somewhere in the past and I just missed it.)

I believe Armstrong is in the transfer portal.

If I recall correctly Armstrong in portal Hightower nagging injury(think Bret mentioned in passing at a presser but can't remember which one so take with a grain of salt).

Staff seems pretty high on Pat Bryant so as of right now looks like Washington/Williams/Bryant. Kinda want to see if Khmari Thompson shows up a little, though he showed a little in spring ball last year and if Hightower works back into the rotation.

I can't imagine we're that appealing to established WR's in the portal honestly so deff will be interesting to see what Lunney and staff can do with what we got.

He would’ve counted against the scholly numbers. That was a one year exemption for 5th year players.

Anyone have insight on Zylon Crisler, other than him being a very large human?

Hightower requested to be redshirted towards the end of last season to retain a year of eligibility.

Perhaps 2021 not as much, but in prior seasons Navarro was our best receiver. Sorry to see him (and Epstein, my favorite RB) exit the program.
Would like to see Donny go to the MAC, and see what kind of numbers he puts up there. IMO he lacked explosiveness and dropped the ball too often to be effective on a “good” power 5 team

This also sounds familiar. Maybe the nagging injury was someone else?
I’m not in the know, but I thought his inability to stay healthy was the reason for the redshirt once he’d missed the vast majority of the season.
