I’ll be there. Judging by the average StubHub ticket for this game vs. NU’s other home games (literally $80 vs. less than $20…), I’m guessing I will be in good company!

Let’s remind NU that Chicago (and every corner of this state) is Illini Country!
When we play at NU, it's almost another home game. But we have to be focused for sure. This could be that classic trap game, sandwiched between two games against a couple of top ten teams.

We are also comparing a 5th year player to a 2nd year. That extra time brings a lot of maturity and consistency that can be missing from a younger player. I absolutely love Trent but just imagine how good AC would be as a 5th year player....
It's been Kofi and everyone else. Against Purdue, we praised AC. Against Maryland, we praised no one. Against Jackson State, CoHawk was a locked lottery pick.

The original comment was about Trent being our 2nd best player on THIS year's team.

RIP to the Hutch Hype Train
Ok haven't seen it in here so maybe I missed it but what and where did Hutch go? I know he had surgery on his hernia but wth isn't he on the bench cheering on his team mates? Did he leave at the semester break? Had not seen anything.

I was looking at our schedule and I think this stinks! We did not have one Saturday Big Ten home game. It makes it a little more difficult to host some recruits when our weekend games are only on Sundays. I am not saying this is conspiracy or anything, but it seems to me that it would be a nice recruiting tool to be able to have a recruit in on a Saturday.

I have been following his misfortune, but was that a good-bye to the hype or goodbye to Hutch?

I still hope we get to see a full, healthy year out of him. Just can't count on it....

I feel bad for the kid, he had a lot of potential when he came in. I'm afraid at this point, as long as it has been since he played much live ball, he won't be the same player. Still wish him the best, he could have helped a lot this year as another guard with length.

The B1G is not equitable in scheduling weekend games. Here is part of a letter I wrote to Commissioner Warren: If I counted correctly, OSU has been given 7 weekend home games, MSU has been given 6 weekend home games, and Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, and Purdue all have been given 4 weekend home games. Why is it that Illinois only has 2?

I'm interested to see how BU uses Luke Goode going forward. Grandison has been regressing offensively as the season has gone on. He is shooting under 30% from 3 in the last 6 games. And Hawkins can't seem to get on BU's good side.

We all knew Goode could shoot lights out, maybe his defense is starting to click? At times he was overmatched in the MSU game, but I never noticed him out of position or giving up any easy buckets.

Be used they want us on Friday nights on FS1. We are a desirable game for ratings. Simple as that.

Does health & safety protocol rule Curbelo out for Saturday too? I'm assuming we won't know anything regarding Kofi's status until game time.

That's one way to look at it. The other way is they we've been the primetime game on some of these nights(like last night). The home game vs Purdue, on MLK Day....we were the ONLY game going.

Sometimes primetime vs a 3PM Saturday tip(in the midst of 75 other games being played....is a better recruiting tool?

If he had a positive test and they are following CDC guidelines he would be clear for Saturday. Now from a conditioning standpoint if he was experiencing symptoms is another thing

Response I got from Scott Richey, "Don't know when Andre actually went in health and safety protocol (even though I asked) or what his symptoms are, so no clear timetable for his return. Kofi is evaluated every day. His return is based on when he clears the entirety of the concussion protocol tests."

Wow. Some of the ticket prices in the 200 dollar range on stub is that normal for an illini nu game when one of them is good. Looking to go but wondering if ticket prices will increase or decrease closer to game time

Back in December, prices for the cheap seats were $160. I saw a day or two ago for $100.

This game, especially at NW, always scares me. NW is a team that always puts up a fight, but seems to barely fall short. I'll be in attendance (I'm sure our fans will be at least 50% of the house)....this is a game that I just want out of the way with a W.
If we’ve learned anything, it’s that if we don’t “show up”, anyone in the B1G can beat us.
