Back in October, you could get seats in the first 5 rows of the balcony for $45 each. I got a note that the game is a sellout.Back in December, prices for the cheap seats were $160. I saw a day or two ago for $100.

I figured that. Actually Loren and I were friends at one point, since I was in the same elementary class as his sister.I'm not Loren Tate, in case you were wondering
Thomas Jefferson?
Good for you.The B1G is not equitable in scheduling weekend games. Here is part of a letter I wrote to Commissioner Warren: If I counted correctly, OSU has been given 7 weekend home games, MSU has been given 6 weekend home games, and Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, and Purdue all have been given 4 weekend home games. Why is it that Illinois only has 2?
This really is ridiculous, especially when it’s not like we aren’t a huge ratings draw, too. We played in the two best rated games of the season last year! With one exception. We have to make sure there is not a second exception this Sat.Not expecting a let-up in tension. Northwestern has played almost every conference opponent close, although it doesn't seem to matter how good the opponent is for them to still lose in single digits.
Absolutely. We need to play the last five minutes first. New strategy. With one exception. We have to make sure there is not a second exception this Sat.
Playing the last 5 minutes with more than zero points would be a good start (no pun intended LOL)
Except playing at Northwestern is a home game for US.I doubt this will be easy for us. NW played well on the road at MSU and Michigan. Playing at home usually increases the overall performance versus being on the road.
It is not just the crowd, but also being used to the rims and the depth perception of the rims in an auditorium.Except playing at Northwestern is a home game for US.
I guess I'll just hold onto the faintest hope that the Illini friendly crowd mixed with our team that has better players than theirs even without Curbelo and Cockburn will overcome their familiarity with the rims.It is not just the crowd, but also being used to the rims and the depth perception of the rims in an auditorium.
My guess is that the Illini will be favored (even not knowing who will play for us), but it is usually more difficult playing on the road. Over the course of the season, nearly every Big Ten team has a better record at home than on the road. I also am expecting a win, but I doubt this will be easy. NW has been competitive recently.I guess I'll just hold onto the faintest hope that the Illini friendly crowd mixed with our team that has better players than theirs even without Curbelo and Cockburn will overcome their familiarity with the rims.
That goes for everyone in this conference. If we’ve learned anything, it’s that if we don’t “show up”, anyone in the B1G can beat us.
I agree completely , but I doubt BU would ever allow any Illini team to have that kind of game mentality ......JMHONW's record isn't so hot but they have been in a ton of close games. We can't show up with the mentality that this will be a walk in the park.
Trap game kinda ....Like at Maryland? When we play at NU, it's almost another home game. But we have to be focused for sure. This could be that classic trap game, sandwiched between two games against a couple of top ten teams.
Not really. The notion that this team doesn't fully prepare for every single game and falls into "the trap" is ridiculous.
