Yup. The best thing that could happen for them is to have a good coach coaching all that talent. I believe they have four McDonald's AAs on their roster. For reference, Illinois has never had more than three. Of course Duke and Kentucky blow away those numbers. But the point stands -- Michigan is loaded with talent.

I think Gard had already walked away and wasn’t in the area of the slap/punch. Believe that was an assistant you were looking at.

we're in like Gard's 6th or 7th season. still waiting for the bottom to fall out.
Howard also acted like an !!! vs Maryland last year. This is not the first time he has not acted like a grown leader of young men. What other leader or professor could literally strike a peer with the first punch over something so petty and keep their job? A suspension is likely what will happen with the state of things but he should be fired.. he has over reacted more than once.

Explanation from Gard about the incident and why he called timeout with 15 seconds remaining,
"Apparently he didn't like that I called the timeout to reset the 10-second call. Because we only had four seconds to get the ball over half court," Gard told CBS. "I didn't want to put my backups -- I had all my bench guys in the game -- I didn't want to put them in that position of scrambling with only four seconds. So I took a timeout and got us a new 10 seconds and it helped them get organized and get the ball in. And he did not like that when he came through the handshake line. I'll leave it at that and the tape will show the rest."

No way. He touched his forearm in a handshake. Guard didn't tackle him or anything. Howard even said I told him I will remember that as they passed. I think Guard was likely shocked at that childish behavior by a man in the position as head coach of Michigan. Do you the Belien would have acted like that? U don't like Guard but he does deserve anything n respond by saying look at the tape. When we were discussing who to root for in the Iowa-Michigan game, I said that I was rooting for a bench clearing brawl and massive suspensions. Just one game early, I guess.

I was being somewhat facetious. Nothing against Gard at all. You could very well be correct. I'll have to look at the slo-mo of the tape.
If you watch in slo-mo (I couldn't resist hatewatching it) he launched it as a closed fist punch, then opened his hand at the last minute, slapped the UW asst coach on the top/side of the head, then closed his fist while bringing it back, clearly ready to hit someone again.
If one of his players did this (Diabate X many, etc.) that's really bad. What's the word for very bad X 10?
They have to suspend them both for the rest of the regular season AT LEAST, IMO
