Has 1 year left if he wants to use it. Probably not gonna though. What is Hutcherson's status at this point? Eligibility-wise or his intent? I haven't heard or seen anything. But he basically hasn't played basketball in 3 years. He had a transfer year I know but idk whether he has gotten any medical redshirts.. add in a covid year. Does he still have 3 years of eligibility left? Or 2 since he was maybe medical redshirting during that covid year anyway. Or is he just tired of rehabbing and calling it quits?
Did he ever break our 3s in a game record or just tie it (twice I think?)I just ran into Alfonso Plummer on Bourbon street and shook his hand thanking him for transferring to the Illini and banging 3s
I wouldn't mind a road uni that incorporates the same powder blue/orange as what the baseball team just unveiled.
Here is another idea for road uni.I wouldn't mind a road uni that incorporates the same powder blue/orange as what the baseball team just unveiled.
I'd like to see at least SOME white on there. Too blah otherwise.
Hard not to notice how heavily the B1G is represented in the shooting contest but has no one in the dunking contest. I wonder if the conference’s under performance in the tourney the past couple of years boils down to athleticism.FYI
TaxAct Men’s 3-Point Championship
Jordan Bohannon – Iowa
Brad Davison – Wisconsin
Drake Jeffries – Wyoming
Davion Mintz – Kentucky
Alex O’Connell – Creighton
Carl Pierre – Rice
Alfonso Plummer – Illinois
Sasha Stefanovic – Purdue
Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship
Jalen Adaway – St. Bonaventure
Branden Ellis – Lynn
Sean Miller-Moore – Grand Canyon
Taze Moore – Houston
Alex O’Connell – Creighton
Derek St. Hilaire – New Orleans
Alondes Williams – Wake Forest
Well, there’s 1 ACC player. 1 Big East. 0 PAC 12. 0 Big 12. 0 SEC. Not sure that has any correlation to tournament success.Hard not to notice how heavily the B1G is represented in the shooting contest but has no one in the dunking contest. I wonder if the conference’s under performance in the tourney the past couple of years boils down to athleticism.
Doubtful. Definitely some solid athletes in the B1G. Jaden Ivey for example would kill this dunk contest but you aren't going to see any of the top prospects there.Hard not to notice how heavily the B1G is represented in the shooting contest but has no one in the dunking contest. I wonder if the conference’s under performance in the tourney the past couple of years boils down to athleticism.
Or that the guys like Ivey, Davis, etc, are a little more preoccupied with getting ready for the Draft than a half-assed dunk contest at the FF.Hard not to notice how heavily the B1G is represented in the shooting contest but has no one in the dunking contest. I wonder if the conference’s under performance in the tourney the past couple of years boils down to athleticism.
If there was white piping around the numbers and logo, I'd be more sold on this
Sencire reminds me of Brandon Paul, but taller. I love our 4 players joining the fight!
Or a smaller RJ. He has hops and our preferred left handed shooter!Sencire reminds me of Brandon Paul, but taller. I love our 4 players joining the fight!
Hard pass as it is. Let me see it with some white around the numbers, letters, and logo, as well as some white included in the piping on the sleeves and collar, and I could be persuaded. But we already have the only orange jersey we need (retro Fighting Illini). Now we just need to put together a good blue jersey that also isn't cursed.
If in addition to those two, we also land an experienced pg AND Kofi stays, I could see us being better. If Illinois Lands Clark and Shannon, is next year's team better than this year's team? I'm having a hard time seeing how they would be better but curious what the opinion of other fans would be.
Certainly possible. Hard to tell what you actually have in freshmen until the ball is tipped off. Put enough new people in, and there is bound to be a learning curve. If Illinois lands Clark and Shannon, is next year's team better than this year's team? I'm having a hard time seeing how they would be better but curious what the opinion of other fans would be. I am assuming both Kofi and Hawkins return.
I think that'd be hard to predict. With so many new players, and so many returning underclassmen, it's going to be dependant on things like how players gel with each other and the staff, and how players progress in the offseason. I think we just won't know until we see them play. Could see them end up better or worse. If Illinois lands Clark and Shannon, is next year's team better than this year's team? I see more of a Kendall Gill comp - very lean, long and athletic, still a bit raw in his offensive game but quick hands and a menace on defenseSencire reminds me of Brandon Paul, but taller. I love our 4 players joining the fight!
