Wow Purdue is losing a hell of a lot of talent next year, this should have been the year they made a final 4.

I'd like to see at least SOME white on there. Too blah otherwise.
Add a white outline (exactly the same as the orange outline on the whites), and those are gold. Throw in a blue (orange text and white outline), and those should be the damn jerseys.

Then bust out any of the ‘89 throwback FIGHTING ILLINI jerseys for big games (UC game assuming it returns, Braggin’ Rights, “Orange Out” or whatever, etc.). Would actually be super cool to see our “big game” jersey change from a white/orange/blue ‘89 throwback based on if we were officially the “home” team in big neutral site games like Braggin’ Rights or the NCAAs.

It will be really interesting to see how the B10 fares next year, because a whole truckload of mainstays are leaving. As well as all the sophomore breakout superstars. I'll barely recognize the league. I mean who IS staying that's a top tier player, from any school? Kofi and Dickinson might stay, so they'll rule the roost if they do. But who else (not including portal transfers of course, of which there will be many)
Only item I’d counter to that, is going into this year Davis and Murray weren’t on the national radar at all. I think we all saw Murray was capable of a big leap but 2 of the leagues top 3 players weren’t a “preseason” type pick.

Not sure who fits that mold for next year (on our side Coleman and RJ are 2 that “could” happen)

If Illinois lands Clark and Shannon, is next year's team better than this year's team? I'm having a hard time seeing how they would be better but curious what the opinion of other fans would be. I am assuming both Kofi and Hawkins return.
I think we’ll be a top 10 team if we get Clark and Shannon and Kofi stays. I’m expecting at least one of RJ, Coleman, and Goode to make a massive jump next year. Probably RJ.

Would depend on injuries also. If we have the same injury luck we had this past season, we wouldn't be nearly that high. I would hope this past season was an outlier in that regard.

To El Gran/ if you were hoping last season was in related to the injuries and not low volume in scoring the ball and players that could learn and develop with the senior laden team. Then why? spin right quickly off of the injuries being apart of the season that has not even started. Again, I question that some of the people who post are on another uninspired train that is crashing critically by every crazed moment they get their teeth chewing gum that is both benignly and BITTER.

RJ for sure. We are so talent laden already, it's almost unfair .. seriously. Another guy I really want to see play a lot more minutes is Podz. He has the sweetest stroke on next year's team, even better than Goode (who requires someone else to get his own shot). If given an opportunity, he will be our taller and stronger JBo, so ofc we're gonna love him, right? Their shooting form is quite similar, especially how quick the release is and how it's more of a set shot. Podz can work on his lateral quickness for defense and his dribbling to create space in the off season, and he will be a star.

Bohanon won
Davison 2nd

Plummer tied for 3rd/4th with bohanon and Davison but lost tie breaker and didn’t move on

For all the JBo haters, all I can say is that he is a competitor, he doesn't play dirty, he loves his teammates and his school's culture, and he is undoubtedly a decent human being.

After the 3 point contest win, he posed here with the parents of former 1990's Hawkeye star, Chris Street, who tragically died in a car accident in Jan, 1993.

In Jan 2018, Iowa sophomore point guard Jordan Bohannon purposefully missed a free throw during Sunday's win against Northwestern—even though the team was trying to protect a late lead.
Up 73–65 with just over two minutes remaining—a comfortable lead, but certainly not an insurmountable one—Bohannon clanked a free throw off the front of the rim. Had he made the shot, it would have been Bohannon's 35th consecutive successful free throw, surpassing the school record of Iowa's Chris Street, who died in a car accident in 1993 while the streak was ongoing.
A moment later, Bohannon pointed to the sky in an apparent tribute to Street.

"That's not my record to have," Bohannon said after the game. "That record deserves to stay in his name."
