This is a pre-season top 15 team with Nance and an unranked team with a backup (read: mid-major) option if he stays in draft or plays elsewhere. We're just way too unproven up and down the lineup without a Nance on top of what's currently there.

Pre-season rank is mostly noise but at the same time it's nice for recruiting momentum.

Indiana is the preseason B10 Favorite now that they have TJD back. Lots of talent on the team. The biggest questionmark is what kind of winner Mike Woodson is capable of being at the collegiate level where player development is going to be key. He's well proven in the NBA, so my guess is he will be fine overall, but it's a different game in college.

Going to undermine myself here a bit but, speaking of reputable draft boards, saw this the other day and it gave me a chuckle. This mock was published last October, but still...who knew that our best pro prospect was sitting at the end of the bench all season?!?

It all makes sense now. Podz was telling friends he was "One and Done."

He will be an impact player. There is no doubt. Whether he is one and done remains to be seen.

Thanks "" bud "" for your "" blunt '' assessment of my scoring "" elite-ness "" , which is factual and noteworthy........................

enjoying every day as if it's my last one in this dimension....................I really really am.........
I want to grow up to be just like you! Though, I don't think that my wife would approved of the NLs.

We've all seen some superlatives handed out where guys were "elite" in some area, or had some other comment about excelling, but that's a really strong statement IMHO. No idea if it's hype, but even if it is, it's still a helluva a compliment.
Of all the incoming newbies, I'm most intrigued by Dain. Here's hoping he stays healthy and is able to show himself as Coach Anderson describes.

TJD back to Indiana. They are gonna be a problem.
Meh, they can prove it like we had to. I think they will be better and even pretty good, but I have already seen them proclaimed as Big Ten favorites. We shall see, lol. I certainly wouldn't trade our staff or roster as of now, for example.

Personally, I hope they're hyped like hell so it can go to their heads and they can crash and burn.

I like Hawkins, but unless he's dramatically improved, I can't see him getting starters' minutes.

Of course Foran overhyped this. TA said that Dain has as good of a chance as anyone on the team to be one and done.
I dont think its any coincidence Dain is on our team and showing so much promise on AND top gun 2 is coming out this summer. Dainja Zone is gonna be the soundtrack to highlight reel basketball this year!

I don't get this at all, I can't see a situation with the currently roster construct where he doesn't get starter minutes. By that I mean 20+. We have no bigs after Dain and (am I really gonna say this) Leib? Hawkins is it. This is still the Big X, 6'6' and 6'7 ain't playing the 4 and 5. Are you really expecting that Dain to play like 30 minutes a game? I just don't see that.

He is most likely starting at the 4 spot and back up center to boot.
It depends on the portal. Who else transfers in?

Coleman will play a lot even if we get a Nance-level PF/C in the Portal. I don’t think he’s the budding star that some make him out to be, but we really don’t have a lot of depth at the 4/5 even if we add someone.

I guess if we added two quality bigs his time could be limited. But that’s seems unlikely.

Coleman is very good at handing the ball off on the weave without turning it over.
