Interchangeable pieces who can handle, attack mismatches, and shoot are actually exactly the type of guys you run a weave like ours with.
The weave is usually ran by teams who lack athletacism and creation abilities because it helps do those things for them, hence why we ran it when we couldn't generate offense because our team last year majorly lacked those things. Our team this year is literally filled guards and wings who do those specific things, so running a weave would make no actual sense.

Well, the notion that we are not gonna still run the 'weave' as part of our offense is most likely false, and what is particularly false is that the weave is ran by un-athletic teams. One of the prominent teams that runs the weave is Baylor and they probably the most athletic team in college right now.

The weave that is run at this level is not your grandfather's weave and is accompanied by high line pick and rolls that have options for cutting to the hoop for open looks. It is where much of the alley oop game comes into play in Underwoods offense. I would be blown away if we don't see some of those sets this year still.

Agreed 100%. Another primary team that runs it is Kansas. The first time I saw it was actually not by us, and I learned it by the name Kansas weave. So we have the last 2 national champions running it.

A team that lacks creation abilities will generally also lack ball handling. No way you run an offense where 4 guys dribble the ball if they can’t actually dribble the ball.

Seriously, what kind of idiot would run a weave? /s

Meh, they can prove it like we had to. I think they will be better and even pretty good, but I have already seen them proclaimed as Big Ten favorites. We shall see, lol. I certainly wouldn't trade our staff or roster as of now, for example.

Personally, I hope they're hyped like hell so it can go to their heads and they can crash and burn.
lol totally agree. Most of their delusional inbred fanbase think they are destined to be regarded as a blue blood program again(hell a lot of them still think they are a blue blood program haha) They all still worship an abusive disgraced POS bully of a coach in Bob Knight (who by all accounts is on record hating all things IU because of he was fired by them. When he finally came back to Gloomington, Indinia he didn't even know where he was at the time or recognize his long time friend Dick Vitale) . It was honestly one of the saddest things I've ever seen.

In conclusion, I sincerely hope they lay an egg next season and never get back to relevancy...ever.

+1

That said, Woodson is a class act and good coach. And seems to be an excellent recruiter. The irony is that much of their fanbase thought he was a mediocre hire (at best).

I love TJ's "All Eyes on Me" 2pac shirt (young man has good taste in music:cool: and can't wait to see him play for Illinois! Welcome back home young man! INI!:illinois::shield::hailtotheorange::ah::chief:
Opinions vary (speaking to the choice of music)

I saw him at Wally World today in Champaign. He seems pretty down to earth. I think he's a good kid. Wish him the best! I-L-L

Look, I bleed orange and blue but Indiana has 5 NATTY's. That's more than any other BIG team. I have known players that have played for Knight. I understand why people don't like him. I get it. Still, the results on the court speak for themselves. Indiana will be loaded this year. If we can find another BIG that can play, we could be right there with them.
