Technically this is the most athletic offense we’ve faced all year. They do have a terrible O Line though
I don’t see anyway they score more than 10. The amount of pressure they’ll face upfront should prevent them from throwing over the top, and we’ll have the short field contained.

What does this have to do with the Minnesota game, where two TDs were scored on a kickoff return inside the 10 and after a 44 yard run the drive before that?
I think they're saying you can be a dominant team but stuff still happens. We need stuff to NOT happen. Let this be the week of bad stuff not happening. This is a good stuff only week.

Line movement is definitely the public seeing a 17th ranked 6-1 team going against a 3-4 team and wondering how we aren’t two score favorites. I might not disagree, but I think these next two weeks are going to be trap-like games.

I don’t think anyone would say Nebraska is worse than us, but I do think they have enough talent to make this thing close.
Line jumped almost immediately at open. Not public money driving that, sharp money. I'm in a discord with a fairly sharp bettor and he expressed frustration that he couldn't get money in before it moved to 7.

This is a very positive indicator for next weekend! (Assuming it isn't a head fake of course, but the additional push to -7.5 would indicate it was not)

Nothing really new to add other than the fact I love how Bret Bielema (aka Bert according to so many opposing butthurt/jealous Big Ten fans/alums) is so hated on. This is such an amazing thing for us in the grand scheme of things moving forward lol

Can't wait to beat the huskers this weekend. Here is to no injuries and another win for Illinois!

I'm definitely enjoying the Bielema "revenge tour" so far (and am so grateful he's our head coach) The way Coach Bielema has been operating this season has been incredible

Bielema going back to the Big Ten was pretty much inevitable at some point. Glad he chose Illinois.

I read the highlights but is there a stat as to how many pressers BB mentions the indiana loss in some fashion. I mean I get it but just curious.
It wasn't a loss. It was a group of drunk referees, and a drunk review team on instant replay. The referees have the ability to change the outcome of a game, and I honestly feel like they did that night. We played well enough to win, but not well enough to overcome some horrendous calls. That being said, I actually don't think that loss will matter, since we control our own destiny on the national stage.

Interesting, Barry doesn't like 19 play drives, too much opportunity to mess up. He wants a quicker score. I always thought long. time consuming drives were a good thing. But I do see his point.
the offense guys will take an 80 yard run or pass play everytime they can. But they forget what giving the ball back to the other teams offense will do to your D after the first quarter.
Personally, I will take an 8 minute, 17 play drive ALL THE TIME. I would rather win 27-10, than 45-42.

I watch these B12 games just about every week , 'cuz my son went to Ok St, and it drives me crazy. Drives him crazy too

Agreed, the momentum swings in many of the B12 games are crazy. I think it would be fun to match up with an OK St or TCU type team in a bowl game this year. See how our defense does against a big play, run and gun offense.

I dont bet
but I like the beloved to cover AND I would bet the under .
at 56.5, I just dont see the Huskers scoring more than 18, and I dont see us scoring more than 38.

Yeah that under is enticing, but I'm staying away from betting on this one. This is a completely different style game than the past 3. Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota all wanted to hold on to the ball, run the ball, and play conservative. Nebraska will want to take shots down field and find big plays. They know they can't sustain long drives against our D. Just a handful of mistakes could lead to a much higher scoring game. Plus, I'm always worried about refs that want to call soft PI's in a game like this.

And there is a good chance our offense explodes this game. We have gone up against some good defenses, and have had to worry more about moving the chains rather than taking shots down field. I'm hoping we can establish the run early and get into a lot more 2nd and short opportunities. Hopefully that gives Lunney the confidence to dial up some shots down field. I'm really hoping to see some 20+ yard plays designed for Isaiah. He has been good in the short game, but hopefully now is the time to get him out in space.

I dont gamble - I have heard a local radio show say something about not being able to bet on an in-state event/team. Is this true...if I really felt confident in Illinois, are there websites or do I have to drive to another state? I was really considering this against Minny!
Save your money my friend.
