When I went to bigten plus it only gave me a54.99 annual option. How do you get to the 1 month?
Do you have a promo code activated..I ask because the annual option is typically $79.95, and promo codes usually only offer discount for the annual plan.

Don't look past Quincy. They have a bench filled with guys who have been playing organized basketball since middle school and were recruited to Quincy specifically to play competitively. Quite a few have been playing collegiate ball for several years. They are also not a short team, but are, on average, several inches taller than the typical Quincy student. Most of their players practice year around, either in official Quincy practices or during pick-up games on campus against other college players. In addition, they are coached by a professional, paid staff, not some phys ed teacher who got tossed out there to coach the team,
Also, the proximity of Quincy to UI means they may well bring dozens of fans to State Farm Center in support of the team, reducing the 'home court advantage' somewhat. Lets hope for the best.

Reminded me of how hard Lou used to work in his pressers to build up an upcoming cupcake. All coaches do it to an extent, but Lou was elite.

I believe the last time I was in the stands for an Illini/Quincy game was the frosh year for Richardson/Bertrand/Paul and Quincy was only down by 4 with one minute before halftime. Of course we blew them out in the second half. I'm expecting a blowout from the beginning this time around.

I was there for the Illini/Quincy game in 2005. That was the exhibition game for Senior's Dee Brown and James Augustine, where they raised the Final Four banner prior to tipoff which was super cool.

Wasn't much of a game really, and the Illini won comfortably, but it was still fun to watch my Alma mater play a team that came within an eyelash of a National Championship.

Imagine feeling so starved for all of the B1G "action" that was left off the main BTN that you felt the need to pay yearly for BTN+.

"Children are invited to wear their Halloween costume and trick-or-treat before the game. Fighting Illini student-athletes from numerous sports will be passing out candy throughout the State Farm Center concourse. Halloween bags will be provided for children 12 and under."

As someone who follows D2 ball, and who has watched our local team Alaska-Anchorage win about 35% of its games in the Shootout (RIP), many of which were against P5 teams (and even beat the '89 Michigan team on a neutral court), I agree in large part. If this game were on Quincy's home court in front of their fans, it would likely be a lot more interesting. D2 teams often have better shooters with high BBIQ, but not the size or athleticism of their D1 counterparts. One of our teams shot 46.8% from 3 for the season one year IIRC. In the right circumstances D2 teams can challenge their D1 counterparts, but on Illinois home court in front of Illinois fans, it will be very difficult for Quincy to do so.

That Michigan loss was based on the fact that their best player was, shall we say, distracted by a future major-party vice presidential candidate.

Also a big reason teams like Duke and Kentucky don’t just completely out ranked the rest of the P6 teams. Yes they have more athletic and large players but that doesn’t equate to wins automatically.

_______is just a tremendous ball club. They shoot the ball well, they rebound, they play sound defense.
We will have to play one of our better games if we are to beat ___________.

We must not underestimate this team, if they truly embody the spirit of the quince...

Pronounced "kwins," the quince is a small and rounded pome fruit grown on trees. Though it may look as delightfully sweet and juicy as an apple or pear, the quince in its raw form is rather tough, tannic and slightly sour at times

3 days! Still debating if getting big ten + is worth the ten bucks. And then the risk of it not even working on gameday

I'm very interested in how Coleman Hawkins progresses this season. A number of poster think he can be an NBA level guy with his length and ability to play at all 3 levels. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if this season is a bit mixed for him --he should get all the tick he can handle, but I expect his most important work will be the heavy duty work defensively in the paint. At the other end, I could see his passing being really important to the offensive flow.

He's going to be a really important piece.

I’m very interested to see how much energy he wastes on complaining to the refs vs getting physical within the appropriate boundaries. From the minimal Kansas scrimmage footage it looks like he has a way to go (2 complaints in that small snippet)… I hope it at least doesn’t affect his game attitude like it did early last year.
