Illinois has 2 games on B1G+ this season, the pay online service. (It doesn't matter if you have BTN or not, still have to pay to watch B1G+)

Sign up for the Illinois Monthly School Pass option for $9.95/month.

Illini Basketball on B1G+
Fri, Oct 28___Quincy (Exhibition Game)
Fri, Nov 25___Lindenwood

The 2 games are within a month so if you only use B1G+ for Illini Basketball sign up on Oct 28th then immediately cancel/turn off the auto renew so you're only charged one time.

Isn’t the Monmouth game also on B1G+?

I think it was briefly listed as B1G+ when the times/tv were announced back in September (perhaps a mixup), then it was quickly changed to BTN.

Pretty sure I’d rather listen to these schmackers than Bruce talk about himself and his glory days in Champaign.

Please remind me again if the B1G+ games can only be viewed live or can they be watched later (rerun) during your subscription? Thanks in advance.

The KU game on 22d (secret scrimmage) will be most interesting to hear of our team build progress and court efficiency (or not).

Given the relative overhaul of our roster, it will be a credit to our staff if we truly are efficient against Kansas and Quincy this early.

We'll over-react either way :p

Is UCLA Nov 18 the first non-cupcake?

Don't look past Quincy. They have a bench filled with guys who have been playing organized basketball since middle school and were recruited to Quincy specifically to play competitively. Quite a few have been playing collegiate ball for several years. They are also not a short team, but are, on average, several inches taller than the typical Quincy student. Most of their players practice year around, either in official Quincy practices or during pick-up games on campus against other college players. In addition, they are coached by a professional, paid staff, not some phys ed teacher who got tossed out there to coach the team,
Also, the proximity of Quincy to UI means they may well bring dozens of fans to State Farm Center in support of the team, reducing the 'home court advantage' somewhat. Lets hope for the best.

I hope coach is looking at all of these unorthodox methods no matter how far fetched just in case they can bring some value to the U of I
