I was afraid of this. Too many stories about the Illini and how good we are. We are good, but not good enough to coast to wins.

To be fair the coach was 10 yards into the field while play was live. Definitely a penalty.
I’m getting very close to turning this game off and doing something else.
Hopefully serves as motivation for the remaining schedule this month.

Seems that way thus far, this game was the trap game Muck suspending all of those players, the big spread just seems like we are not doing the little things to get it going

Yes, we are better than MSU. This is embarrassing.
3rd and longs are where games like this are usually won and lost.
But you don't get 3.15 points on THAT play if you fail. Take the points early in the game.
It’s very dramatic, but I worry about Purdue after a loss this week, followed by Michigan.
We can and should still win this game and be 8-1. But 7-4 is certainly in the cards.
Passing up the field goal in the first quarter is looming large.
Can we start taking advantage of the fricken' wind now? Stretch the field with Hightower once in a while Barry.

Illinois has been losing the field position game.
I think early in the game is exactly when to play based on percentages. Later in the game is when situations arise that change the calculation.
