Agree. He was mentally back on the bus by the middle of the third quarter. As long as he doesn't play like he did against us in 2022.

agreeQB Armstrong was in a bad situation this year. Went from a solid head coach to a first year coach with Elliott. O-Line was horrendous and Brennan was running all over the place. Bottom 30 rushing team mixed with bottom 15 sacks allowed and time of possession. Those areas are where Illinois excels. Ton of QBs in the transfer portal will fit into the Illinois system.
Impossible, because he'd never have to face the Illini defense! As long as he doesn't play like he did against us in 2022.
Any QB from Southlake, TX HS is take!!3 best transfer destinations for Texas QB Hudson Card
Texas Longhorns quarterback Hudson Card will enter the transfer portal for 2023, but which landing spots would make sense for the former 4-star QB?www.google.com
Mentions Illini as possible destination for Card.
Bazelak regressed a lot from our game....pass1. McNamara
2. Card
3. Armstrong
4. Bazelak
Sure hope that Sitkowski sticks around, btw.........
Hopefully he regrets that decision. If Iowa has an offense next year they will be much tougher. That insight brought to you by Captain Obvious I know.Cade McNamara to Iowa official. Well, that’s gross!
Word up in Iowa City is that BF won’t be running the offenses next year. We will see.Hopefully he regrets that decision. If Iowa has an offense next year they will be much tougher. That insight brought to you by Captain Obvious I know.
Watching Armstrong's highlights from 2021....only knock I can think of to not go after him is he would be another 1-year guy.
Quarterback. Always QuarterbackRight now, what needs to happen first: (1) upgrade our receiving corps; or (2) bring in a quality transfer QB?
I asked the question poorly. Are quality QB transfers willing to look at us with our current projected receiving corps then?Quarterback. Always Quarterback
Yeah, and I seem to remember the announcers saying that Elliott had changed the offensive philosophy from the prior year (not surprising for a new coach), and VA didn’t seem to have the personnel for the new offense. Didn’t see him play except for against Illini, and hard to hold this year’s performance in that game given the Illini’s D.QB Armstrong was in a bad situation this year. Well if McNamara is indeed going to Iowa, I’d say yea they are. What does Iowa have in the way of receivers that is better than the Illini have other than their TE? And I believe he’ll be gone.I asked the question poorly. Are quality QB transfers willing to look at us with our current projected receiving corps then?
Damn, we did a great job on #2 this year with Devito, hoping we are going to get even better options this year....Right now, what needs to happen first: (1) upgrade our receiving corps; or (2) bring in a quality transfer QB?
