Mordecai or Evers is going to transfer again next year. The portal is out of control. Lol

Evers was more a Card situation with Jackson Arnold being in that Arch Manning tier of QB recruits

I did have multiple people on here try to give me reasons they thought he would come here to be an assistant when I said there’s no chance.

I imagine if Altmyer goes pro after this next season with us we will not only have another top 10 transfer portal QB coming our way in 2024 but probably top 5.

The whole western division will be filled with Gun Slingers next year. Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Purdue. The Big is not only stacked with new coaches but new q.b.'s. Can't help but feel that NIL and the new t.v. deal-conference expansion is helping to fuel more competition and at a higher level. Imagine USC, UCLA, and possibly Oregon and Washington. That would be insane.

Any of our insiders know why Art doesn’t want to use his last year of eligibility? It would be nice to have one QB with playing experience. (I know he’ll be a GA, but that’s not the same). I picture us up 21-7 late in the 3rd in the B10 championship game and Luke goes down. I’d prefer a vet to a rookie.

Can't speak as a very informed person or one who can relate in any way to Art, but I have to imagine transferring to a school just to be three different guys' back up in three consecutive years can't be the greatest feeling. The fact that he is joining the staff must show something that there are no hard feelings toward the staff, but he probably didn't want to go through the motions of another faux QB battle in camp if the writing was on the wall.

He definitely is a better insurance plan than our other unproven options, but I can respect the move.
