I had expected IW to be wearing black/gold next year. Certainly glad to have him back!
So did Gritty. Seem to remember him saying that was reason CPat was hired at Purdue.I had expected IW to be wearing black/gold next year. Certainly glad to have him back!
It's kind of silly to assume a player would transfer just because the coach that recruited him went somewhere elseSo did Gritty. Seem to remember him saying that was reason CPat was hired at Purdue.
Haha, I hear you. Was initially said in jest of your first worry wart comment (with Elzy)No uncertainty after he decommitted from cincy
Man oh man do you have some catching up to do...What about QB? As much as I like Art, he's not the answer.... but hey, sometimes things just click for someone so who knows. His agility, or lack thereof, is a problem and would be anywhere he played. Someone having at least some mobility is a pretty important thing to consider.
Sitkowski is joining the coaching staff as a student assistant.lol ok I'll read up. Not exactly a sleuth.
Yeah, I am genuinely very surprised. So did Gritty. Seem to remember him saying that was reason CPat was hired at Purdue.
Both of them have a battle on their hands for playing time.Special teams should be greatly improved this year with the #5 kicker in the nation and #4 punter
CPatt had a way of disappointing us a little on occasion, and it looks like Purdue is getting a little taste of thatYeah, I am genuinely very surprised.
It's great news for Illinois though. The role CPatt has vacated is a major opportunity for BB on the recruiting front.

Yeah Griffin is on scholarship right? He's a sixth-year senior next year, so it's his last hurrah then it's Olano time. It's not a given that these young guns will win starting jobs next season. Olano, especially.
it's very possible we take a step back in terms of our record next year - we could easily lose to UW, Iowa and Minnesota.Am I wrong in starting to get really optimistic for this fall?? I am not expecting some crazy season, but this is the most optimistic I have been going into a season since probably 2008, partly because of the schedule!
I follow very little beyond Illinois football and basketball. What has he done to disappoint this early in his time there?CPatt had a way of disappointing us a little on occasion, and it looks like Purdue is getting a little taste of that
What we lose at RB we gain at WR. As usual, it will come down to QB and DL.Am I wrong in starting to get really optimistic for this fall?? I am not expecting some crazy season, but this is the most optimistic I have been going into a season since probably 2008, partly because of the schedule!
True, although we could also beat Indiana and Purdue next year and flip those loses - I think 8-4 is realistic with losses to PSU, at Maryland, at Minny and at Iowait's very possible we take a step back in terms of our record next year - we could easily lose to UW, Iowa and Minnesota.

I have a weird amount of confidence that we roll out of IC with a win. It will be Lunney’s year next season. I think we have a day against the Hawkeyes. I mean, we are due for a win there, amirite?True, although we could also beat Indiana and Purdue next year and flip those loses - I think 8-4 is realistic with losses to PSU, at Maryland, at Minny and at Iowa
