Arsenal is rolling. Seems like just yesterday Arteta was being pushed half way out the door. It's refreshing to see a team succeed by trusting in their manager, and in their youth, and not simply spending the most money.

Could you imagine the ratings boost this would give FX's Welcome To Wrexham?

One story that many of us may have missed while watching the World Cup is Bournemouth being sold to Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley as part of a consortium that also includes Michael B. Jordan. Foley was interviewed earlier this week by the BBC and said it was actually cheaper to buy a Premier League club than to try and bring an MLS expansion franchise to Vegas.

Everton's board of directors instructed not to attend today's home match vs. Southampton due to a "real and credible threat to their safety and security": https://www.espn.com/soccer/everton...ue-game-vs-southampton-due-to-security-threat

There has been much consternation among the fanbase over the poor performance thus far this season and there was a sign that some fans had at a recent away match that called for the entire board to be sacked.

north london is RED

The chances were fairly equal, but you definitely had the better goal keeper. We need to replace Lloris immediately. He has been atrocious this season.

Not even close. The gap to Man City is only 8 points. There's still 20 games left to play.
agree. newcastle is also a player with their stingy defense and new oil money.

If the owner buys him the players he wants, then likely Yes. If not, then likely No. We've been linked to Zaniolo this month (Conte has wanted him for a while) and Pedro Porro who would be an upgrade on the right wing. Unless they also upgrade at central defense (and goal keeper - which is probably a summer thing), I'm not sure how much it's going to matter.

Frank Lampard sacked by Everton today. When Rafa was sacked this time last year, Everton had won 1 of their last 14. With Lampard, Everton has won 1 of their last 13.

Among the names being floated as replacements include Marcelo Bielsa, Nuno Espirito Santo, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Sean Dyche (who appears to be the bookmakers favorite), and Wayne Rooney.

No Premier League this weekend with the Fourth Round of the FA Cup taking place. Biggest match is tomorrow between Manchester City and Arsenal. Among the minnows, 4th division side Walsall hosts Leicester City while other 4th division sides including Grimsby Town travels to Championship side Luton Town and Stevenage is away to Championship side Stoke City on Saturday. In addition, 5th division Wrexham hosts Championship side Sheffield United on Sunday.

Two bits of Everton news today:

-Former Burnley manager Sean Dyche has been hired as Frank Lampard's replacement. It was apparently down to Dyche and Bielsa and Dyche impressed the board more.
-Anthony Gordon reportedly close to a £45million transfer to Newcastle United. One of the bigger disappointments of the season for the Toffees.
