Yes, I think that is accurate.Iowa first on my hate list. It wasn't just Satan. Their entire administration was complicit.
100% agree. That is more than 10 times the tuition I paid my freshman year including room and board, but I am getting old. The price of private college tuition is now ridiculous, and is going to have to change at some point. I would expect that you can get as good of an education at Purdue as at Rose-Hulman if you want it, maybe even better. And avoiding a bunch of student debt is about the best life and career decision you can make.
As for the last part of your statement, that has been the dig on Rose graduates for at least 40 years, and is likely accurate when applied to graduates of most top colleges. When you have more companies recruiting on campus than graduates, it creates an impression. I don't know about engineering, because I never worked in the field but, in my experience, it is once you are in the real world that the real training for a career begins.
Correct, I was going to type the seasons out as “1999-00” but decided not to and forgot to change that, haha.I think Bradford's 3 was in 2000 and I think randle posterized Marco Killingsworth.
Can't wait to hear Bardo's arsenal of catch phrases like, "I see ya young fella!" My personal favorite from the Minnesota game was when he commented that the "effort from Harris was Sencire" ... true gold!

We’ve had a nice share of buzzer beaters against the Hoosiers. Am I missing any?

Don't you dare disrespect BloNoBloomington Indiana or Bloomington, Illinois????
I went to summer ‘nerd’ campat Rose Hulman. Operation Catapult they called it.True, but I've worked around dozens Rose Hulman graduates building prototype optical systems. About 20% of them are normal, the other 80% have trouble opening a push/pull door.

I don’t think he is terrible. He is a tremendously nice guy in person. When we were making the flying Illini shirts I got to know him as we made them with #35 on them. He was never the biggest seller, but I am proud of what he has accomplished as a UofI grad. He has been doing this for over 30 years, somebody must think he is ok? I think they all have their “cliches”, for example many many people love Gus Johnson and I can’t stand listening to him do a game. He just sort of grates on me?Bardo’s a brutal commentator.
In the early 80s, prior to enrolling at Illinois, I had their "Ski Terre Haute" recruiting poster on my wall. But never thought twice about actually going there. And after 35 years in the engineering field I have never met a graduate of their program.Yep.
Quite the tour of compound name compass point schools you got there.Whoever mention that the rivalry is regional is correct. I grew up on the Iowa border in Western Illinois. I didn't hate Iowa until I went to 2 years of junior college at Southeastern Community College in Keokuk Iowa. It didn't take long to figure out that a lot Iowa fans where A- Holes. Then I transferred to Northeast Missouri State and guess what. I had to deal with a ton of Iowa fans there as well. Never heard a peep out of the Missouri fans. Then over the last 35 years or so I have crossed the border to work in Iowa. That had just reinforced my hatred for all things Iowa. The Iowa fans are just as delusional as the Indiana fans only not as smart about their sports teams.
I went home for lunch in high school and watched Bradford nail that three. If I remember correctly, that was his first three of the game (during his streak). My Dad let me skip the first part of afternoon classes so I could finish the game.Nick Anderson 89

Agree that viewers have different tastes in color commentators, but I never hear him say anything that isn’t obvious and his cliches always seem stilted and not particularly clever. As far as him being a tremendously nice guy, Coach Henson, Altenberger, Kenny Norman, Tony Wysinger, et al. might not agree with you.I don’t think he is terrible. Is Bardo the best ever, for sure not but he is a long way from say Bill Walton who I would say is Brutal.
Just my opinion of course, but I don’t mind Bardo?

I think the two have very different approaches to doing color commentary. Hummel does a great job of seeing, understanding, and explaining what is happening team-wise on the floor - telling me what is happening on the whole court and why it is working or not working. Bardo is more focused on individual plays and the players making them, not so much on why the play was available or what was done to set it up. Bardo tells me more about what it took for a given athlete to finish the play.He needs to take lessons from Robbie Hummel.
