Baltimore got so many walks this series from Sox pitchers that if you multiplied the distance from Home Plate to first base by the number of walks Sox gave them... Orioles could have walked on foot all the way back to Baltimore.
Math doesn’t check out….They might be able to make it to 37th Street though.

Was at the game yesterday…….what a poor excuse for a baseball stadium in my opinion.

10 consecutive L's. Sox went from pitching a no hitter leading 3-0 in the 7th to giving up 10 runs and trailing 10-3 in that very same inning.

Robert benched for not hustling out a grounder. Said in the postgame that his hamstrings were tight from last night's game and he was gonna play it conservatively tonight. He didn't tell Pedro or the trainers because he didn't want to sit.

The players don't care. The front office and ownership definitely don't care. This organization is an effing embarrassment from the top down.

Can’t argue with you. Want to, but can’t. At least Pedro showed some stones by benching Robert. I hope he sits him for a few more games (and not because his legs are sore), and makes him watch replays of each and every strikeout he’s racked up.

I was looking forward to baseball season and getting to a game or two this year, but what a complete disaster, and we're not even 30 games in.

its basically at the point already , where the Sox need to seriously consider a dramatic trade or two , in order to improve, or start over with the rebuild
as much as Tony LaRussa wasnt helping the last two years, he wasnt anywhere near the main reason they played poorly.
Its head scratchingly weird to try to explain why they play so bad.

Lu Bob benched after not running out a grounder early in the game yesterday.

I'm going to Cards/Sox at Guaranteed Rate this summer (One game of the series for sure, possibly two) with a best friend from college. He texted me earlier this week about how cheap tickets to the game were going to be with how each team is playing right now.

Is it bad that I almost just want them to keep losing so we can stop trying to make this collection of guys work? We’ve been mediocre or worse for the past 1.5 years

Unfortunately I know what you are saying….but, we have not had this collection of guys all together at one time too often.

And there in lies the problem. These guys (many of them) are not built to withstand the rigors of the game they play.
Unless Robert or Eloy takes a step to be a superstar player, we have a collection of “nice” players. Even TA who I enjoy a ton, he’s a fringe all star, not a top 5 shortstop you pencil in for the all star game every year.

On the pitching side, Cease is the only guy that when he takes the mound I think more often then not we should win this game.

We looked good in 2020 because we had that exact guy, Abreu hitting like an mvp and grandal significantly better as a catcher. With that lineup, now you have Robert hitting 7th and you have something.

What also kills me is without a doubt - we’re going to give up on a few guys and 1-2 of them are going to figure it out and some other team very happy.

The Sox right now are in desperate need of a team leader. On the field. Their great leader for past decade now toils in Texas.

Anderson sparks the Sox offense but may not have the personality to be the team-leader type the Sox need. Moncada, Jimenez, Robert... no evidence they can be leaders like that. Perhaps Vaughn or Burger have the best chance if they get stick around and get more vocal and assertive.

With Tim Anderson back we don't look dead at least. Showing some fight late in games against the Twins. There is a ton still to work on but at least it doesn't feel like the season is over, like it would have if the Sox got swept in this series.

It blows my mind and speaks to the division that if they win today they are 6 out playing truly atrocious baseball for over a month.

3 of 4 against the AA-level Royals. :poop:

The competitive window for this pathetic group hasn’t just closed - it’s been bricked over. Blow it all up
