I have a bigger question and your avatar brought it to my mind.......I wonder why " Firefly " only got one season......?????

I think it is a fantastic work of TV art and have binge watched all 14 episodes numerous times........it had everything you would want in a series and the women are so beautiful..............Action packed and a lot of great plots .........

Why , oh Why , only one season ??????????????????????????????????????????????????

A fantastic question.

If I remember correctly a few of the episodes went up against the World Series.

Michael Jordan's High School Coach Exposes Another MJ Myth

BRIAN MAZIQUEJANUARY 11, 2012
Michael Jordan's career is full of great accomplishments, and like any person of greatness, his history is filled with exaggerated accomplishments and impediments.

The latest MJ myth to be dispelled was the one that saw young Michael done an injustice by his high school coach who "cut" the future Hall of Famer while he was a sophomore at Laney High School.

Well, it turns out, Jordan was never really cut from the team. He was placed on Junior Varsity to develop more.

In a interview with Sports Illustrated, Clifton Herring gives a very sensible and logical basketball-based explanation for his actions, and I dare you to disagree. The article states:

There was no doubt that Mike Jordan could handle the ball, but his shooting was merely good and his defense mediocre. Mike Jordan was seven or eight inches shorter than Michael Jordan would be, only 5’10″ at age 15, and at least one assistant coach had never heard of him before that day. If Jordan distinguished himself at all during the tryout, it was through his supreme effort.
A 5'10", Michael Jordan is a lot different than a 6'6" one, isn't it? It goes on further to say:

The Laney Bucs did have one major weakness, and that was size. They didn’t have a returning player taller than 6’3″…In those days it was rare for sophomores to make varsity. Herring made one exception in 1978, one designed to remedy his team’s height disadvantage. This is part of the reason Mike Jordan went home and cried in his room after reading the two lists. It wasn’t just that his name was missing from the varsity roster. It was also that as he scanned the list he saw the name of another sophomore, one of his close friends, the 6’7″ Leroy Smith.

Not only that, but if I recall correctly, they aired the episodes on almost random nights and times due to the World Series and they didn't air the episodes in the correct order including the pilot, so people who were psyched to watch the premiere (like myself) actually saw the second episode first, so the characters weren't quite introduced properly. Fox completely screwed the pooch on this series- it would've lasted at least 5 seasons if it was launched correctly. Great show.

Yeah I was pretty sure they were aired out of order, not just the first two, but later down the line as well, but wasn't positive. It was a total cluster of a launch of a show that would have been amazing.

Yep , I was confused at times as far as the structure of episodes in a mannerly progression..........Also , at times it had Ron Glass doing the opening promo instead of Mr. Fillion.....................Still , all in all it would have been a winner if done better by Fox and lasted quite a few seasons......jmho

There were 2 issues with the post- it was posted in the wrong thread (for better or for worse this is the podz news thread, has been for a while), & the post lacked the source link. If the link was included I would have simply moved the post here simple as that.
It's never "thanks for allowing me to camp out & dominate game thread after game thread" :(
You are correct. I should said thank you. I as well as a lot of us on here appreciate your work and dedication to keeping this running. Thank you for giving people like me, a place to met and discuss the beloved with others. I’ll do better.

Why? Lol Brad knows everything that’s going on. Brads a lot less stressed than all of you are about this
Yea, I was gonna add the caveat that Brad is probably orchestrating all this but I got distracted and didn't finish my thoughts. I've been following recruiting for 35 years. I don't get stressed over it anymore like I use too. Especially with Brad in charge.

Is DGL going to get play time this year or is he expected to redshirt? Not sure what to expect from him this year
