We've been a top 30 defense each of the past 3 years and was 35 in 2020. Several great NBA defenses play drop. It definitely has flaws but so does any other defensive system. If you have the personnel it's not necessarily a bad defense to run.
Our drop coverage consists of the big running back to the restricted area.
We had multiple guys light us up with career highs from midrange. I get the tough twos thing. We give up easy twos too often
We also got torched by Loyola playing it.

You need to play it higher and be able to recover.

I agree that at times we did not play it well last year, but we did not get "torched" by Loyola. We lost that game mostly due to the dreadful offensive performance.

The Cubs had home field advantage that year, but had to give it up because Wrigley Field didn’t have lights yet. Four years later, Wrigley finally caught up to the 1950s.
IIRC, the 5th game was played during the day. Have always wondered why not having lights mattered at all in that series. However, my memory could be failing me...that was a long time ago... :)

Had tickets to game 7 of the WS had the Cubs made it. Smh.

It would take more than Space Jam to sway me one way or the other. Come next week, I think we are going to be tickled Orange.

Wonder if there's a connection to the Goode family and that's where the info is coming from? Pawnee isn't too far from Ft. Wayne I believe.

Yeah, but in March if you can’t effectively make adjustments in real time you lose in real time. Loyola was putting on a clinic with their Zoom action and we couldn’t adjust.

We had trouble adjusting on offense too. If memory serves…they blitzed and sometimes trapped our high middle ball screens/horns stuff and that gave us fits for some reason.

They shot 54% from two and 40% from three.
They hedged hard on PnR and we acted like we had never seen that before. Of course neither Ayo or Frazier were really PGs.
Curbelo was not effective either. One time when doubled he tried to pass it between a defenders legs to no one in particular.

Our refusal to play zone to stop their screening and back door action was mistake.
Loyola got easily handled next round.
