But do we need him to score or do we need him to distribute? He’s a 49+% finisher from 2. His free throw shooting does suck and his 3 pt shooting could use work, but if all we need is someone to distribute the ball, it feels like we could do worse.
Both. We need good offensive players. When your point guard is a scoring liability it just makes everyone else's lives harder. Career 49.6 TS% on 19 USG in the American is bad

Imagine going from RayJ Dennis to counting on getting a waiver from NCAA to hand the keys to Jeremiah Williams… and claiming it’s clutch that we got Williams.. Brads a top paid coach and he constantly has massive learning lessons every year.. “we recruit every day guys” Was Andre an everyday guy? Was Adam? Was Skyy? Why are they all dipping if we have a culture.. We had 4 point guards when we lost to Loyola not a single 4 man now we have four 4 men and not a single point guard.. we have the money, the facilities, the conference, and the recruiting territory to be a power house but its always something. I truly don’t believe in Brad to get this university a title anymore

I’m no where near panic mode, but if I was seeing that would alleviate any fear. I mean if Creaning a top 75 recruit is a possibility, this team is stacked. 😀
If Hansberry got creaned to make room for Jeremiah Williams; I am done.

I agree, which is why this commitment makes no sense. In no way was Williams a must get, so why complicate things to where someone has to leave now to add another player. If this was all planned out then it makes a little more sense.
Because now we’re gonna have to go point guard by committee instead of have RayJ play 37 mins a game.

I guess I just see it different. If this is our starting 1 with Shannon, Goode, Hawkins and Dainja, I don’t think we need him to be a scorer. We just need him to be dangerous enough the defense can’t sag. Which I think he is because he can penetrate (helps that he isn’t small).

I see the ability to run him with those 4 and then have Harmon, Rodgers, Harris, Domask and Guerrier mixed in.

Hansberry: HELL TO THE NO!

I’m not trying to kill the messenger here
BIG_G2332…but NO WAY…

I think I might have a serious existential crisis over that one.

* The nightmare scenario: We first cut AH or someone equally valuable to trim the roster…only to have one or more defections soon after. I think I would pluck out my eyeballs with a spoon. Lol.

You basically picked all of the few that have, most have dramatic drop offs in production. https://www.economist.com/game-theo...to-be-the-golden-state-warriors-silver-bullet
Oh you want more: Rudy Gay, Klay Thompson, Wes Mathews. Do I need to give you 100 games to prove my point? No I don't.

I basically picked all the ones I NEEDED to based off the person I responded to. Don't be mad because I shot it down.

All those guys came back to play, be very productive for a lengthy period of, and haven't had any major issues since. Now let's move on.
