Our free-throw shooting is every bit as rough as you would expect. On the plus side, our length on defense is going to cause a lot of problems for our opponents. We’ve got several blocks and a lot of hands disrupting the passing lanes.

Way it looks on video, Illini have the size advantage at guard and forward spots. Instead of jacking up the threes, push the ball inside more. Draw some contact and get fouled. It's that simple. This team they're facing has some speed and quickness. A good litmus test.

Free throws definitely have to improve.

Gotta say, I am absolutely loving the effort, defensive intensity, and movement off the ball that we showed that 1st quarter. Quite frankly it was better than we had in pretty much every game we played last season. Chemistry looks way better as it looks like we're playing a team game out there. This team is going to be an ELITE offensive rebounding team. Maybe the best in the country.

On the flip side, free throws are abysmal and three point shooting isn't much better. We're also somewhat loose with the ball. Those areas definitely need work, but most everything else is looking great
