We forgot to show up in the 2nd half. I don’t know if it is injuries or what. We have no energy. 2 or 3 plays in the first half we would be up then the 3rd quarter happened

Hate to simplify a complicated issue, but … why are we so bad? I honestly don’t think it’s Bret. Purdue lost more than we did. Is Walters really that essential? Did our offense go from a B+ to a C+ and we’re just seeing the defense drop down to around the same level?

I’m not a football guru, and I’ll admit that. But I’m at a loss. I watched this with a Purdue fan who assured me for hours that they sucked … sick of being the “medicine” for struggling teams.
1. Last year, the Illini overachieved and was insanely lucky with injuries thus the lack of depth wasn't exposed as much
2. Purdue had better depth and have better than the Illini for quite a while
3. They have the best QB possible for them for their new Air Raid system and personnel that could fit fairly easily. This year I am not sure what our offensive system is supposed to be.
4. In 1997, Purdue hired Joe Tiller and the Illini hired Ron Turner. Somehow, Purdue is still reaping benefits for it with Drew Brees,

This team was only going to go as far as the OL could. No defense outside of maybe Georgia/Bama can be out there that much and keep the game close.

Turns out, we aren't going to go very far.

On top of it all is Peacock user interface, buffering, etc. Ours rewound to 3Q and won’t advance, maybe for the best? Restarted. Now jerky play. Can’t stand to watch the game or the broadcast!

Has Williams touched the ball in the second half?
