Is Malik Elzy injured? Maybe there was an injury announcement that I have missed.
Speaking of play calling…. I thought the Illini should have passed on 3rd down in their last possession of regulation to get a first down and run the clock out. They were going to leave enough time for Indiana to score a TD whether they ran (and came up short) or threw incomplete.
Co with Williams!I gotta assume Paddock gets B1G offensive player of the week with 500 yards and 4 TDs. Gonna be tough for coaches to bench that.
Sometimes our play calling is baffling, but they get paid and we dontAny play would have been better than whatever weird outside pitch play they actually ran. Just the way it was lined up gave Love no chance to get any kind of momentum too. Really frustrating after gashing them all game long.
Yeah, I don't buy this at all. Players want to see good coaching (among many other things). I don't think they see that now. Perhaps they've rationalized this like BB has. So not a death knell. But not optimal.and defensive guys can see they are needed. And badly.
Here are Paddock's last three games at BSU. Maybe the answer to your question is that in August he looked a lot more like the guy finishing out the season at Ball State and a lot less than the guy we've seen the last couple weeks. Maybe he's actually developed? Maybe something has clicked for him. Who knows. At this point we should be questioning what the hell is going on in training camp and the who, what and whys John wasn't the starter.
Not by everyone but by the very vocal few. After the Penn State game there was a post or two praising Paddock. Those posters got absolutely dragged by everyone.
What kind of idiot spits on an opposing player? We watched arguing with staff who tried to escort Taz from the sidelines to the locker room. He was very visibly angry, and not at himself. At one point it looked like he was going to turn back south. Good thing there wasn’t an official within spitting range! We don’t need fools like him. He’s a disgrace to the team and University. One thing that is upsetting…..too many stupid penalties. So frustrating .
That was an undisciplined example at its finest. In my world, that’s like a several game in-program suspension. Uncalled for, and inexcusable. What kind of idiot spits on an opposing player? I think it was the context of the "just a get a few more yards and we close this game out", among other things.I couldn't watch, so i'm having a hard time understanding the hating on Lunney and the playcalling when we put up 42, stuffed the stat sheet, first team since 2000 to do the thing, and we won.
I do agree, but there's certainly an aura of "winning in spite of him" instead of "winning because of him". You feel it when watching games, and you definitely feel it when attending games. It's interesting.I couldn't watch, so i'm having a hard time understanding the hating on Lunney and the playcalling when we put up 42, stuffed the stat sheet, first team since 2000 to do the thing, and we won.

I imagine Ball State did not have great receivers. Here are Paddock's last three games at BSU.
