That was a great HS basketball game. Peoria Richwoods had well over 100 fans there and 12 cheerleaders. Great support. Damonte
was there supporting Richwoods. I had a chance to speak with him and thank him for all he did for Illinois.
I hope we are taking a hard look at Isaiah Green, Thornton's PG. He is a grown !!! man at 18. Great court awareness, ballhandler,
shooter and passer. Clearly, the second best player on the court to me.
A capable PG makes a world of difference with a great Big man.
That was a great game. The two big men kind of canceled each other out but MJ was able to get the other guy in foul trouble. The guard for Thornton was impressive. In this new era of college hoops he could be a transfer option in a few years if he continue to develop.

I need to watch Morez Johnson in person. My brother is a high school ref. I got to check to see if he has him on his schedule.
Thornwood vs Ruchwood highlights on YouTube. Morez will developed 3 at Illinois, already has nice form. Reminds me of a Hammond/Gtech and Oneil/Pacers.

Think he will see a lot of time next year. See him, Buck, Luke, and Ty at the 2-3 next year with Nic and DGL at the 1 and maybe some time for DGL at the 2. No equivalent replacement for TJ but hopefully covered by other positions.
I vote this becomes the successor to "more athletic Larry Bird"
TSJ cannot handle the ball like this young man nor can he pass as good as him

I love guys that are confident in their handle, play under control, and are able to exploit those to get where they want to. Basically what we saw from Kolek against Marquette or yes like Jalen Brunson. Butler seems to have some of that style to his game.
