Harbaugh - Probably
Day - maybe, but I'm not interested
Franklin - I guess
Fickle - maybe, but I think I'm good
Smith - probably a good choice but Bert is fine in comparison
Ferentz - No
Ruhle - No
Fleck - NO
Walters - No
Cignetti? - No
Braun - No?
Schiano - No
Locksley - No
DeBoer - Probably
Lanning - Probably
Riley - Probably
Kelly - No
All that to say, yes, there are better coaches out there in college football. But I am perfectly happy with Bret and having a coach who is above all else committed to building a competitive football program in Champaign. Among the people who would take the Illinois job, I wouldn't rather have anyone else.
I'll join in
DeBoer- yes
Lanning- 0-3 against the Huskies is real discouraging
Riley- the Illini would be more exciting, but being reverse Iowa is iffy plus Benedict Brisket isn't known for his loyalty
Kelly- no, but I do believe his offense will give B1G teams fits
Harbaugh- WE NEED NO STINKIN ANN ARBOR ASTROS
Day- No, heck I rate Hartline, Larry Johnson Sr, and maybe Jim Knowles as better HC candidates on that staff!
Franklin- Nah
Fickle- might be overrated but he isn't bad, would leave for Ohio State if they offered
Ruhle- I don't hate as much as others do, but no. Did think his hiring of TX HS coaches to be on his staff at Baylor was brillliant.
Ferentz- nah
Fleck- um no
Walters- no for now, call me back in a year
Cignetti- not yet, but I like the cut of his jib
Braun- not going to lie that NDSU coaching tree is impressive, no but I may regret later
Schiano- he is so Rutgers, him anywhere would worse
Locksley- no
Then again, I would not trade half of these clowns for Mike McCarthy who the Cowboys should have fired last year, especially for Day, Franklin, and AJ Hinchbaugh.
