NU is preparing……
I sense Chris will put in more zone but it may backfire if we start hitting with Goode, Harmon, Hawkins, Guerrier, Shannon, and Domask or any combination thereof
"Sits" is an unfair characterization if TSJ will be coming off the bench. He'll be playing plenty of minutes and making his mark on the game.So TSJ sits this game? BU said he doesn't want to mess with the team chemistry when it is working ...

As others have said, no better road game to us ease him into all of this! NU is decent so I don’t expect it to be as severe as past years, but there will be a lot of orange.I’m guessing TSJ will come off the bench again at Northwestern, if only to avoid the awkward moment of his name being announced in the starting lineup on the road. Might have to get used to that eventually, though.
I remember paying ten bucks for a ticket outside Welsh-Ryan Arena in 1995. And the person selling it to me didn’t charge any convenience fees or anything.I bought a decent ticket for $83+ fees a few weeks ago. Once news of TSJ's reinstatement came through, the prices went from the mid 80s to low 90s on second tier sites(Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, StubHub, etc..) at cheapest to now the 130s and 140s for cheapest tickets. It became a hot ticket.
Anyone remember a taller thin black guy that went by Ace that used to stand in front of the AH with an orange cowboy hat? That's who my dad and I would by tickets from. He always remembered my dads name. Sorry for the random, but this post triggered a few memories, thx.I remember paying ten bucks for a ticket outside Welsh-Ryan Arena in 1995. Yes. I believe his name was Sidney. He died a few years ago.Anyone remember a taller thin black guy that went by Ace that used to stand in front of the AH with an orange cowboy hat? I once offered him less than what he was asking and he said “ohh no. The night is young.” I’ve used that saying regularly ever since.
I disagree with this, there is way more chance to get booed coming off the bench and coming into the game by himself. At least with the way we race through the starting lineups for the visitors, it’s about 2 seconds between names being called in the starting lineup vs him sitting at the scorers table for however long.I’m guessing TSJ will come off the bench again at Northwestern, if only to avoid the awkward moment of his name being announced in the starting lineup on the road. Our 3p shooting (6/27.. 22%) with Rutgers may in fact draw NW to zone.I sense Chris will put in more zone but it may backfire if we start hitting with Goode, Harmon, Hawkins, Guerrier, Shannon, and Domask or any combination thereof
It was definitely Sidney.Yes. I believe his name was Sidney. He died a few years ago.

I don't expect we'll win by 30 again, but I'd be happy winning by at least double digits. At least 20 would be even better. For reference, our last game against this next team we won by 30 points. And that was while we were missing one of our best players. But it was at home.
This game is at the other team’s arena. But that player we were missing for the last game is back for this game. The other team will likely have improved since the previous game. We probably will as well.
How will these factors affect the outcome of this game?
Why not thirty? Certainly not past the realm of possibility. I’m not going to predict it. That invokes a Curse. On the other hand…I don't expect we'll win by 30 again, but I'd be happy winning by at least double digits. At least 20 would be even better.

It's possible. However, it's very difficult to win on the road in the B1G. And when you embarrassed a quality team on your floor, they will be ready for you when you come to theirs. I'll be happy with any margin as long as it's a W.Why not thirty? Certainly not past the realm of possibility. I’m not going to predict it. That invokes a Curse. On the other hand…
The NU student section will likely be brutal … but other than that, not close to the Gordon game. And here’s why.The one game that always sticks in my mind as a game where there was such strong hate and vitriol against a team was the Eric Gordon game in Champaign. It's always been my most memorable Illinois game that I ever went to despite the loss. I'm wondering what the atmosphere will be like on Wednesday night and if it'll come anywhere near that game?
