BU post game radio interview..................

really good college BB game tonight........
they shot 63 % from 3.....hard to win like that........
TSJ had 5 turnovers tonight.......
we have got to execute better..............
cohawk with 22 pts & 13 rebs.................
Marcus had 22 pts.................
QG with another double double...............
we got 21 off. rebounds and 14 more total than them.............

I was surprised , but then again , I wasn't when Marcus took the last shot instead of TSJ..........TJS looked like he ran completely out of gas with about 2-3 minutes left in regulation......he had a couple drives that looked like his legs gave out on him.....

It was a very good game until overtime...........

well , it's gonna be a long night for old pru.....I can't even think about sleeping.......I really really can't........

I hate running the clock down so much
such a poorly executed possession

We are absolutely awful on out of timeout possessions ... I need to take the time and figure out the % of those plays we actually score on ...

It is probably one the biggest things that bothers me about Brad ... Execution out of timeouts ... Awful .... And whether that be players, play design ...

To be honest ... I do not care ... Get the :poop: fixed ...

Not one to complain about coaching, but really don’t like the way Brad handles minutes tonight.

Ty shut down Boo Buie in the first match up and then he doesn’t play the last 18 plus minutes of the game.

Just a dismissal effort defensively.
Keeping Ty on the bench, not adjusting to our switching giving NU the matchups they wanted and playing too short a bench which made us gassed . We also clearly had a couple players who were not dialed in on the scouting report and NU runs some nice sets.

Everyone we threw at him in second half got torched. They needed ty on defense but needed Harmon on offense. Tough decision to make
I'm sorry, but needed Harmon on offense? He's on or off, and tonight he had ONE POINT until that late basket before OT.

Well, when TJ got back, minutes and duties were going to get changed. Ty was on the short end tonight.
*Deep breath*

Okay, here’s my positive spin. The following two things were going to happen, IMO:

1. We were going to lose a non-Wisconsin road game.

2. Whether we survived or not, we were going to have an off night on defense where an opposing offense went off.

A lot to be frustrated about, but let’s hope we got both out of our system while it’s still January and in a game that’s considered Quad 1. Let’s move forward.

Also, TSJ looked more rusty than phased by the opposing student section … he actually seemed quite MENTALLY poised, JMO. He’ll get back in a groove, and so will we. This is still a team with a very high ceiling … Purdue went down in the same gym.

With that said, we need no more letdowns to keep pace. We just used our second gimme … of two! To get “ahead of schedule,” we also need to beat either Wisconsin or Purdue.

Move forward.
I don't really care about winning the BigTen this year. Get Shannon back up to speed the rest of the season, do well enough to get a decent seed, and finally win some games in March.

Our defense was MUCH better in the first game at keeping Buie from getting good angles on his drives. We cut him off at the basket and forced him into really hard, contested shots. Probably the best part of our first game is keeping guys like Barnhizer from scoring 23. Part of what made us so good in that game was Ty's defense. I have a hard time understanding why Goode played so much more than Ty in the 2nd half.

10/14 is gonna beat anybody. We still had a shot to win it at the end. Hard to hate that. The D needs to get better and what’s up with the layups lately? Can’t drop one at home now.

Don’t know if it was fatigue or the disappointment of missing the game winner at the end of regulation but we just quit in overtime.

R. Davis on the B1G post-game show needs to wipe his chin while talking about Boo. Good Lord, at least try to be objective. Yikes!
They always praise the best player from the winning team. It’s literally the most brain dead analysis. “Wow this guy was on fire they couldn’t stop him!!”

Doesn’t mean it’s not true…. But… :ROFLMAO:

I feel for TJ man. It’s easy to say “tune it out, or feed off of it,” but that was brutal. I can’t stop thinking about his family. I hope his mother didn’t watch that.
Was it though? I honestly thought the crowd wasn't over the top bad. He is going to get worse than that other places. Obviously we all know what they meant by "no means no," but it was a somewhat indirect way of getting to that point.

Stubborn defense with no adjustments is number 1.
I am not sure if I agree with stubborn defense but will say we made defensive mistakes like:

I would say players not understanding the scouting report

How many times did we go under the screen to have Bo hit a 3

If you look at Boo’s shots in the first half they were tough shots

I think the biggest defensive of lapse was letting their big get wide open for a dunk

We really have some defensive things to clean up. With that being said, we played overall good and would have beaten a bunch of good teams on the road playing like that. NW played out of their minds, give them credit. Missed too many layups as well.

Shannon clearly has some rust to work off, which is fine. Once he gets going, we really are going to get on a roll here
I’m not too worried. There’s like what 12 games left in the season and then the B1G tourney. I’m more concerned about March and would like to see them get past the second round.
