To me it seems like Underwood is unable to admit he’s made a bad decision and swears that if he keeps hammering long and hard enough he’ll get that round peg to fit in the square hole. Seriously why can’t he just admit that this pathetic defense isn’t working. Everyone in the world can see it.Agree ... My problem is Brad thought having Hamer as DC was a good idea, to begin with ... Then to continue to go with it ... That's something ...
And once again, just like against NU, I’m looking back and thinking that if we just tightened up the D on ONE possession, we win in regulation. It’s infuriating.50-29 total rebounds.
21-8...OFFENSIVE....rebounds.
And still gave up 90.
That is HS defense.
Totally agreeThe constant late game collapse is on Brad
So if we have 3 really good defenders in Coleman, Ty, and TSJ, and 2 decent defenders in Marcus and Quincy, anyone have thoughts on why we can’t play defense?
Playing UConn or Houston is assuming you made it to the S16, which is starting to look less likely with this defenseThey are going to be in that 4/5 seed range which is a very bad place to be. I don't know what's worse, being pinned in a region against Houston or UCONN or being pinned in a region against against the likes of Tennessee or Marquette even if they were to somehow get a 3 seed. But, at this point, they're screwing themselves
At some point it's on the coach if they don't intervene when you're performing like this fella. Give him a severance package and wish him all the best selling insurance.

and Harmon taking the ball out of bounds, Domask bringing the ball up the court, not calling timeouts in key moments when we need it, the list goes on of stubborn, arrogant, foolish coaching on part.Agree ... We could use perimeter defenders with much better footspeed, agility and body control. Weuse our length to try to compensate for the shortage of these qualities. It often works, but not always. We have no true guards who play. Our 'guards' are all big wings. There are trade-offs here, but we have no choice since the roster lacks true guards. You see the trade-offs at both ends to the floor, all game long.So if we have 3 really good defenders in Coleman, Ty, and TSJ, and 2 decent defenders in Marcus and Quincy, anyone have thoughts on why we can’t play defense?

100% where I'm at. I'm numb to this right now. It's reality time. In the college game, you HAVE to have great guard play, especially at the point, especially late in games.Had to do about 6 things in the last minute plus to lose that game and we did all 6.
Goode takes a transition 3. If we burn 10 more seconds of clock Penn State literally has no time to get fouled shooting a 3.
Leave the ball in transition and give up and open 3.
Try to dribble through 2 defenders and get stripped (maybe contact but a ref isn’t going to bail you out in that situation).
Miss 2 free throws. Still up 2.
Foul a 3 point shooter.
I guess I only listed 5 but I’m sure there’s one more in there. Wow, just wow.
And I also think I’m emotionally checked out. Thought we had the talent to be final 4 good but have felt very paper tigery for about 6 weeks. We are who we are and I don’t think we make the second weekend. Some mid major who can cut and shoot is going to tear us apart.
