This may be an unpopular opinion, but once Domask started getting huge minutes, almost 40 a game, this team's defense has totally collapsed. And for the love of all things holy, please do not allow him to bring the ball up the court ever again.

Again, down the stretch no TR or QG... You trust then enough to start the game and half, but not end the game?

This is just the nature of college basketball. Anyone can beat anyone. Not making excuses for the poor execution down the stretch but this team can still beat anyone and should have an opportunity for an exciting run in March.

We proved tonight that we are not a championship caliber team. Definitely talented and capable, just not gonna go far in the tourney. A lot of missed free throws and complaining to the refs. A team is only as good as their weakest link, and tonight we stooped really low with the complaining and mental lapses by seasoned veterans. Playing on the road in the Big Ten boys, quit complaining already. Geez man, just freaking quit it!!! Please.

Bob Huggins must be rolling over in his liquor cabinet watching Brad coach.

For everything Brad is great at off the court, he is terrible at on the court. I don’t get how someone who is so good at constructing a roster is so bad the X’s and O’s…and seemingly refuses to change or even try.

Talking out of emotion like most here but I’m so tired of pretending “this team is different than the others” like we have the last 4 years.

I need another hobby lol

Can we have Hamer not sit anywhere near Justin on the way home. He will have that kid setting a NCAA record of getting absolutely torched back door.

Agree ... My problem is Brad thought having Hamer as DC was a good idea, to begin with ... Then to continue to go with it ... That's something ...
To me it seems like Underwood is unable to admit he’s made a bad decision and swears that if he keeps hammering long and hard enough he’ll get that round peg to fit in the square hole. Seriously why can’t he just admit that this pathetic defense isn’t working. Everyone in the world can see it.

They are going to be in that 4/5 seed range which is a very bad place to be. I don't know what's worse, being pinned in a region against Houston or UCONN or being pinned in a region against against the likes of Tennessee or Marquette even if they were to somehow get a 3 seed. But, at this point, they're screwing themselves
Playing UConn or Houston is assuming you made it to the S16, which is starting to look less likely with this defense

50-29 total rebounds.

21-8...OFFENSIVE....rebounds.

And still gave up 90.

That is HS defense.

Yea hard to give up offensive rebounds when the other team just scores on you. 54% from the field and 44% from 3 (8-18)

So if we have 3 really good defenders in Coleman, Ty, and TSJ, and 2 decent defenders in Marcus and Quincy, anyone have thoughts on why we can’t play defense?
We could use perimeter defenders with much better footspeed, agility and body control. Weuse our length to try to compensate for the shortage of these qualities. It often works, but not always. We have no true guards who play. Our 'guards' are all big wings. There are trade-offs here, but we have no choice since the roster lacks true guards. You see the trade-offs at both ends to the floor, all game long.

We have two (maybe 3?)certified Alpha's and capable upper classmen along with great freshmen who played today. We on multiple occasions have lost to "lesser" big ten opponents. Our defense has been called out all year and we have not improved. Leaving it at what is factual and not being a editorial.

Had to do about 6 things in the last minute plus to lose that game and we did all 6.

Goode takes a transition 3. If we burn 10 more seconds of clock Penn State literally has no time to get fouled shooting a 3.

Leave the ball in transition and give up and open 3.

Try to dribble through 2 defenders and get stripped (maybe contact but a ref isn’t going to bail you out in that situation).

Miss 2 free throws. Still up 2.

Foul a 3 point shooter.

I guess I only listed 5 but I’m sure there’s one more in there. Wow, just wow.

And I also think I’m emotionally checked out. Thought we had the talent to be final 4 good but have felt very paper tigery for about 6 weeks. We are who we are and I don’t think we make the second weekend. Some mid major who can cut and shoot is going to tear us apart.
100% where I'm at. I'm numb to this right now. It's reality time. In the college game, you HAVE to have great guard play, especially at the point, especially late in games.

We simply don't have that and we pay the price in ways that can only happen without guards.
