Let’s wait until we play a real team …I think this team is really good. Better than last years

SIU slowed the game down with their 3/4 court zone press. Pretty sure they realized that was their only chance of keeping up with us.Much slower pace tonight, at just 68 possessions. 90 points in 68 possessions is good enough for 1.32 PPP. First game, they were 1.33 PPP offensively. So effectively the same offensive game, a similar defensive game, at a slower pace, leads to a 32 point win instead of a 45 point win.
I don’t know if it’ll end up being better than last year’s team, but they’re better right now than last year’s team was at this point.I think this team is really good. Better than last years
All things are possible and you may be correct. But three guys on All-B1G is hard to see at this time. But that is not important. What this bunch needs to do to be a contender is all doable with hard work. Defend, rebound, make FTs, share the ball, and shoot with confidence and anything is possible for this group.I think this team is really good. Better than last years
Way too early to say that, but username checks out.I think this team is really good. Better than last years
They will. Combined.Imagine a world where KJ, Will, Tomi, and Rez play four years of college basketball for Illinois.

Disrespectful to legendary Illini point guard Marcus Domask. Not a stretch in the least to say KJ is already the best point guard we've had at Illinois since Deron Williams. He just has "it" when it comes to point guard play. There will be a ton of NBA scouts at our games because of him.
Last year was a weird year.I don’t know if it’ll end up being better than last year’s team, but they’re better right now than last year’s team was at this point.
Side note: Ole Miss beat Grambling State tonight by two — 66-64. Do with that what you will.
Boxing out....A lot to like. KJ was sublime. Will continues to look the part. Morez is a stud. Tomi is a pro. Tre & Ben shot over 50%from downtown…
I’m sure Brad will find a reason to be mad during the film session, but he’s got the raw materials to make something special.
I see you big fellaIt’s been said before, but Bardo is embarrassingly bad. Can’t even pronounce the name of the Illini’s star player … and laughs about it?!

Rez is not good about sharing rebounds. I suspect SIUE also noticed that.I mean he didn’t look pleased that Morez didn’t let him have that rebound at the end, but he didn’t press at all.
Like you, I was glad we weren't turning the ball over. Except for defensive rebounding, which was awful, I liked everything I saw. Kasparas is going to be a load for anybody. And he's certainly not put together like most freshman (Riley for example). We got a pretty good look at Ben's capabilities. At timess BU had Dra and Kylan on the floor at once. They lack size, but not defensive tenacity.21 assists to 5 TOs, 28 made shots on 21 assists. Elite
