The Loosiers will be brought back down to reality tomorrow and be kicked out of the Playoffs. The line is now -10...
I'm hoping for a 20+ point blowout

If a one loss Big ten team is kicked to the curb, that does not bode well for any future Big ten team not named Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon or USC to get in, either. The 20 team conference schedules have re-created the exact situation that the championship games and playoff was meant to eliminate - more back room decisions.

To paraphrase George Carlin, "it's a small club and we ain't in it".

Article on the staggering confusion at the top of the conference standings due to tie-breakers.

they would have a lot more national and league respect if they had beaten a Penn St or another top 20 team

For as soft as a schedule as they've played, the #5 rankings seems about right. They've mostly destroyed teams, with some really big scores, and while they haven't played anyone in the top-30 in the analytics, teams that win for that long tend to creep up beyond their level. It's kind of amazing how they've played the bottom half of the league with no one above .500, and only Washington at .500

Maryland 1-6
NW 2-5
Neb 2-5
UCLA 3-5
MSU 2-5
Mich 3-4

The game this week will say a lot about whether they're for real. The talent level at OSU is extreme, and they've got a lot to play for since a loss could keep them out of a rematch with Oregon.

yea

as much as I don’t like OSU, i’m just not ready to see IU get to 12-0 and be ranked in the top 4 come seeding day .

my daughter graduated from IU, but I still hate their sports teams , as much as I still respect the school itself .

I would love to see them lose 44-10, but something tells me it will be a close game that they lose 34-28

Indiana would only make the championship if PSU and OSU lose their last game. A 2 loss championship game team should definitely get in before the Loosiers. It may not be fair...but to quote J.E Lawrence, "It is what it is".

It's bizarre that Ryan Walters believes he is competent at making the calls on both the defense and the offense for Purdue.

Let's see if he is successful vs MSU tonight . . .

I wonder how long until Purdue cuts ties with Walters? Insiders, do you have any knowledge of this? I just read that the fans are screaming for his dismissal. I'm assuming some wealthy alumni would get together on his buyout.

There was a rumor fight after our game that he would be. Guessing PU is doing their diligence to make sure they can fire with cause. Purdue doesn't need to rush to hire anyone. Might as well wait and see what shakes out of the Blue Blood Bath that will happen after Championship weekend.

I'm hoping Indinia tears OSU apart. That would be great!
I don't care about their soft schedule, They have been ruthless all season.
That head coach takes no prisoners.

I’m rooting for Indiana too. Seasons like theirs so far is what makes college sports so great. And, of course, living in Columbus, it is easy to root against OSU.
