I don't know what K-State was thinking. If you're a top 10 or 15 team trying to get over the top, yes. But a big bag to be a bit less mediocre? Doesn't make sense.
2 million reasons for Coleman to have no regrets.
Whoa.... that's not a loss you want to see if you're K-State. But it's early. I've no idea how many new players they have in addition to Hawkins, but it may take a while to gel. I think this is something we will see frequently in this new NIL era. Sometimes teams will bring in EXACTLY the right pieces and take off running right from the get-go. And others will need some time to figure it all out to perhaps be at their best come the turn of the calendar. The Illini could be one of those teams that take until 2025 to flip the switch!

Couldn’t have happened to a worse coach, Mr. Tang. He outsmarted himself on that deal.
Coleman is great in his role (dont get me wrong) but from the little I’ve watched, he doesnt have a lot of supporting cast members. Tang built that team trying to catch lightning in a bottle from the good Coleman while also covering his eyes at the bad Coleman. If you feature Coleman as your leading scorer, you will lose a lot of games.
